Canara Bank-Led TOLIC (Banks & Insurance) Bengaluru Wins First Prize at National Official Language Awards

Jan 22: The Town Official Language Implementation Committee (Banks & Insurance), Bengaluru—convened by Canara Bank, Head Office, has been honoured with the First Prize under the TOLIC Official Language Award.

The prestigious award was presented during the joint regional conference of the Central, Western and Southern regions, organised by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, on January 20, 2026, at Indore.

Shri Hardeep Singh Ahluwalia, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (In-charge), received the coveted shield from the Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Bandi Sanjay Kumar. Additionally, Smt. Sreekala Sreekumar, Assistant General Manager and Member Secretary of TOLIC, received the certificate from the Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Shri Shankar Lalwani.

This recognition highlights the committee’s commendable performance in encouraging and promoting the implementation of the official language in the banking and insurance sector.
