Safety, Security & Hygiene in Enterprise Industry

With digitization of every aspect of running a business, trending technology like AI-ML has taken all the attention of business owners. Video analytics is the most prominent technique used for enterprise analytics. It has given a new definition to the video data produced by enterprises and the insights that can be developed through its proper analysis. This technique is used in detecting various objects and actions such as the face, fire, smoke, equipment like helmets, harnesses, jackets, gloves, premise cleaning detection, footfall analysis, and many others.

Fire and Smoke Detection (FRS)

Fire and smoke can be proactively detected via the field of view of the detecting camera wherein such incidents are detected at an early stage. Well-built systems are capable of detecting incidents in real-time with high accuracy. Such systems are built using AI with computer vision and image processing techniques. Independent FRS as well as IP cameras built with video analytics uses trained algorithms on the image feeds to detect flames and smoke.

Hygiene & Cleanliness

Cleanliness and hygiene are required everywhere from restaurants to grocery stores and healthcare facilities. These are major concerns in the healthcare sector as well as quick-serving restaurants or fast food eateries. According to a survey, healthcare workers wash hands half the times they are expected to. Similarly, the restaurants lack basic provisions for hand washing in the kitchen and washrooms. Both industries face the challenge of detecting that the employees follow basic rules of hygiene while serving the clientele in their respective fields. This is where the AI and computer vision-enabled enterprise analytics solutions come into the picture and prove to be a quick solution to the prevalent issues of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene. Detection of gloves, hairnet/chef cap, and other items for maintaining hygiene can be easily detected using the enhanced techniques of VA. There is no need for human supervision to check the cleanliness of activities like washing hands, moping, table cleaning, etc. Furthermore, the solutions are self-capable by analyzing the images and videos and sending the alerts through emails or messages. The analytics provide people count, and it can detect face masks, and send alerts if counters need additional manpower to cater to the detected footfall, if operational inventory in the manufacturing industry or logistics industry runs low and several other use cases. The solutions available in the market are enhanced to support the person to take localized decisions based on the footfall.

Celebrating an evening of Indian Cinema at The Design Village

The Design Village (TDV) organized an evening with the Theme ” Mehfil-e-Kirdaar” to Celebrate Indian cinema on its Campus.

The students in the 3rd semester expressed, “Cinema is a special part of our lives, be it through the familiar lives of the characters we see, or the grandeur of the fantasies we love with the spice of music, the emotions, and scenes in the movie that makes us relate to, it always has something for each of us”. The Design Village (TDV) rejoiced for an evening to cherish the flavor of iconic movies and their loved characters.

The event was a student initiative to have an interactive session with Facilitators, Juniors, and Seniors of TDV. This allowed students to engage with their fellow learners and dive into creativity to enact drama-packed scenes, enjoy music, and honor inspirational characters and their portrayals while relishing small munchies.

The evening included dance performances, karaoke, and monologues from the history of cinema. The students and the team of the village actively participated to make this day eventful with their favorite movie scenes such as Gabbar who didn’t know “kitne aadmi the” or Munna Bhai whose life motto is “Tension lene ka nahi, sirf dene ka” and recreating iconic looks from Indian Cinema.

The event was memorable gathering support, student volunteers, and participation from the entire ecosystem imitating movie artists and performing in small teams.

Innogress Signs LOI with JSS Academy of Technical Education Noida (JSSATEN) For R&D Of PM Modi’s Avatar Robots

18th Sept. 2022, New Delhi/Noida

On the occasion of the 72nd birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Innogress’s robotic startup Innogress Robotics and JSS Academy of Technical Education Noida (JSSATEN), under JSS Mahavidyapeeth, today signed an LOI (Letter Of Intent) for undertaking joint R&D (Research and Development) program of avatar robots of PM Modi.

Last year on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s 71st birthday, robotics startup Innogress Robotics had announced that it would work to develop and install 100 avatar robots of Prime Minister Modi in different districts of the country, such that the Prime Minister and the Prime Minister’s office would be directly linked to the public, local institutions, and project sites so that the ground level information of various cities, villages, and towns of India sent to the Prime Minister in the real-time. And through this virtual digital avatar of PM Modi, millions of people of India may get connected to the Prime Minister virtually. By staying connected through the avatar robots, people can get the facility and opportunity to tell their problems to PM virtually through the proposed ‘Avatar Robots’.

Technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (A.I.), Machine Learning (M.L.), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, Robotics Movements, Drone Technology, Image Processing, and Conversational Analytics shall be used to develop these avatar robots.

For the purpose of doing joint Research and Development of ‘Avatar Robots’ technologies, Innogress has a plan to set up a lab at JSS Noida (JSSATEN) in collaboration with JSSATEN for which an LOI has been signed between both parties today.

On the occasion of the signing of the LOI, Dr. Amarjeet Singh, Principal of JSS Noida (JSSATEN), Vice Principal Dr. Mamatha TG, Dean Academics Dr. Jagdish RS, Dean R&D Dr. KS Sujata, Training and Placement Officer Dr. Praveen Terang, Dr. Mayank, Head of the Department -CSE (Computer Science), other professors and officials were present.

On behalf of Innogress, Mr. Sumant Parimal, Founder of Innogress, Mr. Ranjan Kumar, an Expert of Computer Science and Project Management, and others were also present at the signing of the LOI.

Under the mentorship of Joint Director-TED, JSS Mahavidyapeeth, Mysuru, Dr. H.R. Mahadevaswamy, and under the patronage of His Holiness Jagadguru Shri Shivratri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji of JSS Mahavidyapeeth, this research, and development program partnership LOI has been inked today at JSS Noida.

The National Logistics Policy which is released by our Honourable PM today will reduce our dependence upon road transport & will integrate the air, road & water mode of transport to reduce the cost of logistics in India considerably & to make our domestic trade and international trade more economical eventually. Also, this policy aims to make the logistics industry more digitized for better integration & Coordination with the trade, which will increase the ease of business & facilitate trade & make India reach greater heights. It is a path-breaking move by the PM. And the Ministry of Commerce & Industry has worked tirelessly to make this happen. Our hearty congratulations to Mr. Piyush Goyal, Mr. Meena, and their team for this wonderful feat.

The draft of this Policy was made and circulated in 2019 for comments, which is released today (pending due to Covid)Last mile connectivity will be addressed. Reduction in Agri wastage due to proper and planned logistics where costing will be worked out along with giving all alternate sources of transport available.

Considering India to be the 5th largest economy, this policy was inevitable.

Releasing the cheetah in the morning and releasing a national logistic policy in the evening can be indicative of how the nation wants logistics to move – at cheetah speed with the integration of different modes of transport. Policy on its own is not progress/result. A policy with performance = progress. Without any policy, we would not know how and where to go, but we need to work on it. This policy has 8 years of dedicated hard work. It is for systematic infra development. Bharat mala and Sagarmala are initiatives in this direction. Turnaround time of containers has been reduced from 44 hrs to 26 hrs.

YES BANK partners with NLDSL to develop logistic use cases on Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP)

Bangalore, September 18, 2022: YES BANK, in partnership with NICDC Logistics Data Services Limited (NLDSL), has developed use-cases to support corporate users in augmenting their supply chain on the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP). This move is in line with the Bank’s endeavor to develop an end-to-end Digital Trade ecosystem in the country.

Under the aegis of PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan, the Government of India (GOI) has today launched its National Logistics Policy (NLP). A key initiative of this policy – ULIP – has been conceptualized to develop a logistics gateway by integrating information available with various Government agencies across the value chain and create a nationwide single window logistics platform for end-to-end visibility. This platform would have direct and indirect benefits to all stakeholders of the logistics ecosystem.

These unique use cases developed by YES BANK can be utilized for the simplification of compliance, risk assessment, and approvals for trade finance transactions. Furthermore, the data points available on the ULIP platform will also be made available to the customers which can be leveraged by them for reducing the overall logistical cost and strengthening their supply chain.

Women in the construction industry are a rare breed, and very few prefer to venture into this field. But those who did foray, that minuscule section of women did with enormous grit and determination. They adopted to the work ambience, which is not often women-friendly, but their resolve to beat the adverse and hostile circumstances, continue to stay ahead and excel makes them superwomen and they deserve recognition, says Sheetal Bhilkar, Co-founder of The Real Woman Community and Director, Urja Building Services Pvt., Ltd. It actually took years and countless rejections for me to be accepted as a woman at the site and I am sure many women here would have gone through similar situations. Sharing some statistics of India’s second largest Industry, the construction industry which is very disturbing, the current workforce in the industry is 53.7mn., off which 5.15 mn., that is nearly 9.6% are women and 97% of them are women casual labourers, that is only 1% to 2% are in management roles and just 1.4% in technical roles. That’s when I decided to bring the existing women in the Industry into the limelight and that way I can motivate and inspire more young women to come into the industry. This thought process made me to institute Real Women Awards along with Vijay Dalwani, Director, Harmony Events and Talent. Besides Awards, we created a community of women entrepreneurs, which has monthly meets, where we network, share knowledge and support each other and with today’s winners we are a hundred members in the group. We will take this award nationwide and build a community of women entrepreneurs in the construction industry.  

Ar. Reza Kabul, who was part of the awards since its inception said, I was excited about this initiative because an award acknowledging the women from the construction industry is commendable, because this is a man’s industry, appreciating the women from the industry will encourage and inspire more to join it. My opinion about the women in the industry is, that they are smart and more dedicated than the men in the industry, they go an extra mile.

Ar. Aparna Bidarkar said it’s a great and deserving initiative for women from the construction industry. May this tribe of women grow, because they do all that is needed at home and continue it in their professions, doubling up the entire thing, which is humongous. 

Dinesh Aggarwal said we have been part of this award since the first edition. The reason for supporting this is, that these awards are unique, recognising women in the construction industry. We are glad that it is growing year after year and are delighted about it. To share some statistics, 47% of the workforce in the USA is women, but only 8% are in the construction industry. Women do bring in a fresh perspective to the construction industry, they excel in project management because they can multitask. In the top hundred construction firms today, 44% of women are in the executive role, but only 3% are involved in actual construction jobs. The challenges are still gender bias, though it’s changing with many women doing civil engineering courses, in comparison to none in the past. Technology has brought in a shift with several things that could be done offsite today, hence allowing the flexibility needed for women to function. Panasonic has always been working on building cities of tomorrow, enriching people’s lives, and moving society forward. Panasonic is a $57 Bn., group with multiple businesses.

Mukesh Jaitley said the emphasis in selecting these awardees was on how much pain and effort a woman has put in to be where she is today and this will inspire other women to excel.

Sai Ketan Rao said I am feeling honoured to be part of this event which is recognising those stalwart women who made an enormous contribution to society. Despite the challenges these women face at home and in the profession, they could excel in their chosen field. My last movie Pellikuturu Party had an overwhelming response and excellent reviews. I have some Bollywood and Tollywood projects lined up, sorting out the dates and will begin shooting shortly.  The twenty-two winners were selected from the enormous response received. A seasoned jury panel comprising of Lakshmi Govekar, Partner & Principal Architect, Skyline Architects, Mumbai and Mukesh Jaitley, COO, Kolte Patil Developers Ltd., selected these winners after a thorough scrutiny of each applicant for the various categories, the most eligible among them have won the awards today.
