Dads Make Us Comfortable, Now Let’s Make Dads Comfortable, Says DaMENSCH

A father has always been our biggest role model and a pillar of our lives. Inspired from a father’s role to support their children through the worst and the best phases of life, India’s premium menswear brand, DaMENSCH, today introduced its latest Father’s Day campaign, #MakeDadComfortable. The campaign narrates stories of sons and daughters reliving the memories of their fathers when they made them feel comfortable in challenging scenarios of their journey.

Through the campaign video, DaMENSCH highlights personal life stories of millennials from different walks of life, talking about their connection with their fathers and the comfort in having uncomfortable conversations with them. The video features a son who comes out as pan sexual to his dad and is welcomed with open arms – knowing there is support and love is all he needs to be comfortable. Another story features a daughter who studied to be a doctor much to her dad’s joy, but decides to make modelling her career without telling her conservative family. Everyone finds out when an ad comes out and lashes out, except her dad who surprisingly comes to her rescue and supports her choice. There are also other heartwarming anecdotes of when fathers went out of their way, to make their children feel comfortable. The campaign #MakeDadComfortable shows a liberal side of fathers who have always accepted and supported their children through all their hardships, and all through the lives too.

Commenting on the new campaign, Deepti Karthik, Senior Vice President, DaMENSCH said, “The most important man in my life is my dad whose dreams for me were bigger than what I expected of myself, he was there by my side whether it came to a career choice or my choice in life partner. This campaign is dedicated to all the dads like mine who have been the go-to person for advice, confrontation, confession, support, and unconditional love. As a brand for millenials and Gen Z, we want to represent Real Dads that our TG relates to – he is the fun dad, the zen dad, the social dad. We want to showcase the modern man and his relationship with his dad which is probably now best articulated as ‘BroDad’”.

Huawei and Nordic Cellular IoT Enter into Licensing Deal

[Shenzhen, China, June 2022] Huawei Technologies entered into a patent license agreement with Nordic Semiconductor. The agreement grants a fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory (FRAND) royalty-bearing component-level license of Huawei’s low power wide area (LPWA) cellular IoT standard essential patents (SEPs) to Nordic and its customers.

Huawei and Nordic were able to conclude the agreement through a transparent and amicable discussion within a short period of time.

With this agreement, Nordic can bring its cellular IoT customers comprehensive legal protection, and a practical and legitimate way to access and implement Huawei’s valuable standardized cellular IoT technology. This agreement is set to bring greater commercial and legal certainty to the IoT industry.

“Huawei owns a leading portfolio of LPWA SEPs for LTE-M and NB-IoT, a subset of the 4G standard, which creates great value for IoT,” says Huawei’s Head of European IPR Department, Zhang Xiaowu. “Huawei is pleased to reach this license agreement with Nordic, which will enable and support a large-scale deployment of this low power cellular IoT technology by different industries, further supporting the digital transformation of societies worldwide.”

“Licensing in cellular IoT is a comparably new practice in the industry, calling for flexible solutions,” explains Marianne Frydenlund, SVP Legal & Compliance at Nordic Semiconductor. “This agreement with Huawei is a big step towards harmonizing the cellular IoT industry with FRAND SEP licensing practices employed throughout the global semiconductor industry.”

“Both sides approached the negotiation in a reasonable and practical manner and recognized that simplification would help boost market growth to the benefit of all parties involved: Huawei, Nordic, and above all else, Nordic’s cellular IoT customers,” says Frydenlund.

Vastu Tips for a healthy and happy life

Vastu is the art of designing rooms, placing furniture and organising the surroundings in harmony with nature earth. It plays an important role in our life.

A man spends most of his time in an environment surrounded by four walls. A house becomes an extension of an individual. A Vastu-compliant house supports growth and development. It gives an extra push, power and subtle support to make you succeed and excel in life. On the other hand, if we build a house against the laws of nature, if we are not living in resonance with nature, and if the environment is not in harmony with natural energies, the negativity can trouble and disturb us.

Below mentioned are some tips that we need to follow in our house and at the workplace to lead a healthy and happy life.

• We should especially take care of NE, Brahmsthaan and SW of our home. There should be no toilet or kitchen in these directions.

• The floor level in the Southwest zone should never be lower than the Northeast zone.

• Any source of water should not be in the Southwest zone of your house.

• If you have a kitchen in the Southeast direction, make sure that the slab colour is not black as it will lead to financial problems. And if in case it is black, change it to green or red immediately.

• Place a big family picture in a golden frame in the Southwest zone under yellow light to attain harmony and peace.

• For the blessings of your ancestors, place their pictures in the right part of the Southwest zone.

• Place a picture of DhanvantariDevta in the northeast direction for overall health and immunity.

• It’s always advisable to use pastel colours or light cream/off-white colours in your home for elemental balance.

• Place a money plant in the North for the constant flow of money and new career opportunities.

Vastu is ancient Indian building science. It is the holistic science of creating a balance of subtle energies, which diagnoses and cures various human ailments. And since Vastu deals with healing and destroying, it plays a very crucial role in human life.

Stefan Bradl ends German GP in 16th

A gruelling German Grand Prix came to a lacklustre end for the Repsol Honda Team with Bradl in 16th as pain forces Pol Espargaro to retire.

Home hero Stefan Bradl finished on the edge of the points after gritting his teeth through a physically demanding German GP. Crossing the line in 16th, Bradl completed the race and gained more data for Honda HRC as they continue to work on improving the Honda RC213V.

Unfortunately, Pol Espargaro’s injuries from his falls in Free Practice 1 proved too much in combination with the heat and the length of the race, forcing his retirement. An impressive launch off the line had the #44 battling for the top ten but he was forced to watch on as he slowly dropped through the field as the pain increased.

The Repsol Honda Team now head directly to Assen for the eleventh race of the season before the mid-year Summer Break.

Stefan Bradl (16th)

“Today is a sad day, I had a big issue with riding the bike in this heat. After following people for the first few corners, I couldn’t brake because my right hand, the lever, became so hot and I couldn’t control the bike. After a couple of laps, I had to drop back to get some fresh air for the bike and for my body. I just tried to finish the race, it was physically more than on the limit and I also have a burn on my right foot because it was so hot. It’s not acceptable to have this situation, we need to improve it. Luckily in Assen we have a chance to fix this problem.”

Pol Espargaro (DNF)

“It was a tough weekend already and then today was another hard day. The ribs just need time to recover but putting more stress on them each day doesn’t help. I tried to do what I could in the race, but the pain got worse and worse and with the heat, I was struggling to breathe. We also had a lot of heat on my right foot which added to the pain. I had to retire; the pain was too extreme. Now I will go home and recover there, the rib injury is similar to what I had in Valencia last year so I know how to deal with them a bit. Three days is not a lot before Assen, but it is what it is.”
