“Unbound Beats of India” 2021

Utsav Educational and Cultural Society, is among the foremost cultural institutions of the country based in Delhi, which is working in the field of Indian classical dance for over 33 years. The internationally renowned and highly celebrated Odissi artist, Smt Ranjana Gauhar, Padmashri and SNA Awardee, who is the Founder-President of Utsav, has contributed tremendously to propagate and popularise Indian art and culture through performances, seminars, lec-dems and by organizing dance festivals.

Under the inspirational guidance of Smt Ranjana GauharUtsav encourages eminent artists, upcoming talent and musicians from across India as well as from abroad by providing a national platform to perform and showcase their creative talent. These cultural initiatives are carried out by of Utsav through its calendar events and festivals such as Unbound Beats of IndiaSu-Tarang and Saare Jahan Se Accha.

This year the festival “Unbound Beats of India”-‘Celebrating the rhythm of dance,’ will present young Indian Classical Dancers. The festival is organized with the objective to not only provide a prestigious cultural platform to encourage the talent of young dancers but also will enrich traditional and classical arts of India besides maintain the continuity of our ancient cultural heritage.

Unbound Beats of India will present 4 different classical dance styles namely Odissi, Kathak, Bharatnatyam and Chhau. The artists performing in the festival are Ragini Chandershekar (Bharatnatyam) Vidha Lal (Kathak), Vinod Bachan (Odissi), Rakesh Sai Babu and Priya Srinivasan (Chhau & Bharatnatyam), Dakshina Vidyanathan Baghel (Bharatnatyam) and Vrinda Chadha (Odissi). Unbound Beats of India allows the performers to unleash the brilliance of their Guru’s training and merge with the philosophy and objective, which the Guru has set for them in the art of dance and life.

Celebration of the rhythm of Dance

Due to the Pandemic Unbound Beats of India- ‘Celebration of the rhythm of Dance’, 2021 will be held on the 9th and 10th of January at 7 p.m online Via Facebook and YouTube (Links attached below).

In this festival of Utsav, the artistic fraternity will endeavour to showcase and create an ambience that underlines the Indian philosophy of “universal brotherhood” through their dance replete with intrinsic expressions. The Utsav family and the young artists of the festival would feel encouraged and appreciated for their hard work by your support and coverage to reach out to the larger community to attend and appreciate the mesmerising beauty of the art of classical dance.
