New Delhi: The Akshaya Patra Foundation’s 15-day vaccination camp was launched at its kitchen premises in Jigani on 16th September. Dr. Latha NN, Medical Officer – PHC Jigani, Mr. Prathap HA – Senior Assistant Director of Factories, and Mr. Sundeep Talwar, CMO – Akshaya Patra were present at the launch event. Apollo Hospitals is the vaccination facilitator for the camp.

The Foundation strives to address vaccine hesitancy among marginalised populations through its incentivised vaccination drives. Every vaccinated person receives lunch, refreshments and a Raksha Kit—a customised ration kit with groceries for 21 meal servings—all free of cost.

People can walk in for vaccination between 11:00 AM to 04:00 PM. Akshaya Patra aims to vaccinate 15,000 people in this semi-urban, industrial area.

In addition, Akshaya Patra has scheduled a two-day vaccination camp at Sri Raghavendra Mutt in Uttarahalli on 18th and 19th September. The Foundation plans to vaccinate over 1,000 people in the area.
