As we progress and climb several ladders of life, we put physical and mental wellbeing on a backburner. Leading a healthy lifestyle then just becomes our dream and we wait for some day for that dream to come true. While we are all confined to our homes, overworking now more than ever on the remote work setup, the sedentary life is a slow killer.
Hence, this Global Wellness Day (GWD) that falls on June 12, Maharashtra’s leading wellness retreat Fazlani Natures Nest is hosting the day with a mix of wellness activities and online sessions to help individuals and society both direct their thoughts about “How can I live a healthier and better life?”, lead them to the everyday of living well and raise awareness. With the slogan of ‘One day can change your whole life’, they celebrate the wellness factor that we all strive for.
Global Wellness Day is an entirely not-for-profit day, a social project dedicated to living well. For raising awareness on the importance of holistic wellbeing, Fazlani Natures Nest has two days of events and activities lined up for their in-house guests, celebrities taking part in this international day, speakers, staff and delegates of Global Wellness Day.
Here’s a sneak peak into the activities that would be conducted:
- Yoga and meditation sessions on June 11 and 12. These activities can be attended by all our in-house guests and the GWD delegates.
- There will be a wellness walk on June 12 at 7 am. Guests will be taken on a tour of the resort and a short hike along. This will be attended by GWD delegates, celebs, in-house guests, and staff.
- On part of GWD, there will be 3 sessions that will be conducted during the day.
- Each session will have 3 speakers. All of them will be talking about the importance of wellness and will be either celebrities or people from the wellness industry.
Going further, there’s also a seven-day manifesto that encourages people to take small baby steps to move towards a healthy lifestyle. Here’s what the manifesto looks like:
– Day1: Walk for an hour
– Day 2: Drink more water
– Day 3: Don’s use plastic bottles
– Day 4: Eat healthy food full of fruits and nourishing vegetables or pulses
– Day 5: Do a good deed
– Day 6: Have a family dinner with your loved ones
– Day 7: Sleep at 10 pm
