Budget 2026 Supports 100,000 New Allied Health Professionals with AI-Enabled Training

Kalyan Sivasailam, Founder and CEO, 5C Network on Allied Health Professionals (AHPs)

“We absolutely need more Allied Health Professionals. India’s healthcare access problem isn’t just doctor shortage. It’s last-mile delivery. A trained radiology technologist in a district hospital can capture a chest X-ray. But without a radiologist within 500 kilometers, that scan sits unread for days. At 5C Network, we connect 1,500+ facilities to 400+ radiologists through AI-assisted workflows. We’ve seen firsthand what happens when trained technologists get the right tools: a scan captured in Bellary gets reported by a specialist in Bangalore within 30 minutes. The Finance Minister’s commitment to 100,000 new AHPs is the right move. Our commitment: make each one of them more effective through AI from day one. We’re already working with training institutions to embed AI literacy into radiology technologist curricula. The goal isn’t just more professionals. It’s more capable professionals.”
