Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) to Host Three-Day Regional Mentoring Session on Innovation for PM SHRI Schools

CIMP is set to organise a three-day residential programme, the Regional Mentoring Session (RMS) on Innovation, from 28th January to 30th January 2026 at the CIMP Campus, Patna.

The initiative is part of the School Innovation Contest and is being conducted in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC), the Department of School Education and Literacy, and PM SHRI Schools of Innovation Council.

Designated as the Nodal Centre for this programme, CIMP will bring together teachers and students from PM SHRI Schools to strengthen their innovation capacity, design thinking, problem-solving skills, and entrepreneurial mindset. The sessions will feature expert-led mentoring, interactive workshops, and hands-on activities aimed at nurturing grassroots innovation in schools.

The RMS will be guided by eminent academicians, institutional leaders, and innovation ecosystem experts. The programme will witness the leadership of Prof. Suresh Kant Verma, Vice-Chancellor, Bihar Engineering University (BEU). Academic direction and institutional support will be provided by Prof. (Dr.) Rana Singh, Director, CIMP, along with Prof. Sunil Kumar, Associate Dean, CIMP.

Adding national-level insights, the programme will be enriched by expert sessions from Gauri Gopinath and Dr. P. Sathyaraj, Expert, Wadhwani Foundation, focusing on innovation, entrepreneurship, and institutional capacity building. From the policy and implementation perspective, Abhishek Ranjan, Nodal Head – Innovation Cell, AICTE, will play a key role in aligning the programme objectives with the national innovation framework.

This Regional Mentoring Session is expected to serve as a significant platform for fostering collaboration between teachers and students, strengthening the innovation ecosystem in the eastern region, and advancing India’s vision of building a robust culture of creativity and entrepreneurship in schools.
