Westermo’s Inaugural Office in India – A Future-Focused Workspace Designed & Built in Collaboration with Space Matrix
Bengaluru, 04th July, 2025: Marking a significant milestone in its Asia expansion, Westermo, a global leader in industrial network solutions, has officially opened its inaugural office in Bengaluru. This future-focused workspace, designed and built in collaboration with Space Matrix, a leading multinational workplace design and build consultancy, occupies 10,000 sq. ft. in Godrej Centre Hebbal, and is poised to foster innovation and collaboration for Westermo’s growing team.
The office design, a careful fusion of global industrial aesthetics and distinctly Indian craftsmanship, reflects a strategic vision. Developed in close collaboration with Westermo’s Swedish branding team, the space seamlessly blends modern industrial lines with warm, natural textures—wood, glass, and technology-inspired patterns. Custom artworks, illustrating Westermo’s key industries like rail networks and renewable energy, are thoughtfully interwoven with Indian motifs, creating an environment that resonates both with the brand’s core identity and its burgeoning presence in the local market.

With an emphasis on employee experience, the office incorporates ergonomic workspaces, natural lighting, and collaborative zones designed to encourage interaction and efficiency. The office design at Westermo India is a testament to the blend of traditional Indian elements with modern minimalism. The vision was to create a space that honors the rich cultural heritage of India while embracing contemporary design principles from Sweden. This fusion results in a workspace that is aesthetically pleasing, culturally relevant, and conducive to innovative thinking.
Traditional Indian elements such as vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and natural materials are thoughtfully integrated into the office decor. These elements are balanced with modern minimalistic designs, characterized by clean lines, open spaces, and functional furniture. This harmonious blend creates a unique and inspiring environment that reflects Westermo’s commitment to cultural relevance and modernity.
By blending a robust design foundation with a workspace that emphasizes collaboration and flexibility, the new office is poised to support Westermo’s growth and future ambitions in India.
