Iron Mountain Breaks Ground on AI-Ready Hyperscale Campus in Mumbai

Mumbai, Jan 16: Iron Mountain has broken ground on its new hyperscale data center campus in Mumbai. Engineered for the AI era, the facility is designed to support high-density, compute-intensive workloads with a total IT capacity of 85 megawatts (MW). The campus is scheduled to begin operations in 2027.

Leveraging Iron Mountain’s global expertise in sustainable, carrier-neutral infrastructure, this expansion provides an AI-ready foundation purpose-built for high-density power and specialized cooling. Designed for highly regulated industries, the facility ensures uninterrupted reliability and rigorous compliance with HIPAA, FISMA, and ISO standards. Furthermore, 100% renewable energy matching via the Green Power Pass empowers customers to effortlessly reach their own ESG milestones.
