Dhoolpet Mahankali Temple Marks 100 Years of Spiritual Legacy

Hyderabad, 21 July 2025: The Dhoolpet Mahankali Temple celebrated its 100th Anniversary with a vibrant Bonalu festival, bringing together thousands in a heartfelt tribute to a century of faith, tradition, and community.

Chief Guest Sri Gaddam Vivek Venkataswamy, Hon’ble Minister of Labor, Employment, Training & Factories, Mines & Geology, Govt. of Telangana; attended and offered special prayers at Dhoolpet Mahankali Temple, in connection with Bonalu celebrations on Sunday. The Minister extended warm greetings to the people on the occasion of ashadam Bonalu. Sri Vengala Ravinder, Chairman, Sree Mahankali Temple, Dhoolpet; Smt. Kompella Madhavi Latha, Trustee, Lathamma Foundation; Sri Kamtam Sanjay Patel & Kamtam Family, Founder Trustee, Sree Mahankali Temple, Dhoolpet; graced the occasion.

Founded by Sri Kamtam Anthayya Patel after a divine vision, the temple has served as a sacred cornerstone of Dhoolpet for generations. Speaking on the occasion, Kamtam Sanjay Patel, Founder Trustee, said, “It is a moment of immense pride to witness our community honor this legacy with unity and devotion.”

All members of the Kamtam Anthayya Patel family tree came together to offer Bonam to the Goddess, participating with traditional Band, Potharaju, and Ghatam processions — a rare and emotional gathering that added spiritual depth to the celebrations.

The event was made possible through the collective efforts of dedicated committee members, volunteers, and devotees, whose service ensured a memorable and spiritually enriching experience. Traditional rituals, Bonalu offerings, cultural performances, and a spirit of gratitude defined the day.

With this centenary, the community renews its commitment to preserving the temple’s legacy for the generations to come.
