DD aisi aisi harkatein karta hai jo…: Ravi Behl gets candid about playing a grey character in Amazon MX Player’s Amar Vishwas

Mumbai, Feb 23th:  Amazon MX Player, India’s leading free premium ad-supported streaming service, recently launched Amar Vishwas, a gripping courtroom drama led by Rajeev Khandelwal as Amar Vishwas, an eccentric Mumbai lawyer who fights for the voiceless. The 10-episode series follows a case that escalates from exploitation to murder when Amar defends a young woman against powerful businessman Jessu Momin, only to face his own mentor, Digambar Dixit known as DD, on the opposing side, testing truth, justice, and loyalty.

Played by Ravi Behl, DD is a seasoned lawyer who believes in control, strategy, and calculated aggression. Opening up about stepping into DD’s mindset for the series, Ravi shares, “Playing this character was fun and also a little challenging because, usme DD aisi aisi harkatein karta hai jo I don’t think main real life mein kabhi karu, but maza aaya. It doesn’t actually change your personal understanding, but it definitely makes you more aware of your surroundings and the power, the ethics around everything, not just justice, but how human behaviour works.”

Recalling the scenes from Amar Vishwas that stayed with him, he adds, “My favourite scene from the show was one jahan pe main Bahar (played by Urvashi Pardeshi) pe chilata hoon. I keep asking her a question and woh ghabrayi hui hai aur jawaab nahi de rahi hai, aur suddenly mein uspe chilata hoon, toh woh bahot acha laga mujhe. And there is another scene between Rajeev and me, jab main usse milne jaata hoon, uska haath injured hai, and I go to his office to meet him, and there we confront each other. Aur thoda humare past association ki baatein hoti hai, so I think that was a very nice and intense scene.”

A courtroom drama with the pace of a crime thriller, Amar Vishwas is now streaming for free exclusively on Amazon MX Player.
