Pune: Maharashtra witnessed many social and political transitions. It is important for workers to have social consciousness while doing politics,” asserted BJP National General Secretary Vijaya Rahatkar. She was speaking at the ‘Diwali Saranjam’ distribution program organized on behalf of Vinod Dhotre family. On this occasion, newly elected general secretary of BJP and former mayor of Pune Murlidhar Mohol, Vinod Dhotre, Gaurav Dhotre were present on the platform.
Rahatkar further said, “Two years after the Covid19 pandemic, for the first time everyone is celebrating Diwali with great joy. In this happy atmosphere, the Saranjam distribution program implemented by Vinod Dhotre is commendable.”
A large number of local people and activists had gathered on the occasion, during which the Saranjam was distributed to over 4000 women.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP state general secretary Murlidhar Mohol said, “It is important to give strength to activists like Vinod Dhotre who carry out various social activities. It certainly beneficial for the citizens if such socially useful activities are conducted.”
Welcoming the guests and citizens during the program, Vinod Dhotre said, “I have a familial relationship with the social movement. That is why the focus of my work will always be the common citizen.”
