JS Institute of Design Announces DJXHack 2.0 Innovation Platform

New Delhi, Feb 20: JS Institute of Design (JSID) has opened registrations for DJXHack 2.0, positioning it as more than a student competition but as a cross-disciplinary innovation platform that brings together emerging designers, working professionals, technologists, and industry mentors for an immersive 24-hour build experience.

Scheduled for 21 February 2026 at the JSID campus in Delhi, the hackathon is being organized in collaboration with Digital Jalebi, strengthening its industry-driven approach. Designed to simulate real-world product and experience development cycles, DJXHack 2.0 creates an immersive build environment that encourages interdisciplinary collaboration under time-bound constraints. Unlike traditional academic events, the hackathon is structured to simulate real-world creative and product development cycles from ideation and problem-framing to prototyping and final evaluation.

The previous edition of DJXHack demonstrated strong industry engagement and outcome-driven participation. The 2025 edition brought together 30+ participants, supported by expert mentors and industry speakers, and operated under a 24-hour structured build cycle with a ₹1,00,000+ prize pool. Participants delivered multiple working prototypes within the limited timeframe, reflecting the intensity and focus of professional innovation environments.

Hackathons of this nature play a critical role in contemporary design education and industry practice. They foster rapid experimentation, encourage interdisciplinary problem-solving, and expose participants to the pressures and dynamics of real-world project environments. For working professionals, such platforms offer opportunities to collaborate outside conventional workplace structures, explore new ideas, and engage with emerging talent. For students, they provide early exposure to industry workflows, mentorship, and outcome-driven learning.

Speaking about the initiative, Ms. Dakshita Khandelwal, Co-founder of JS Institute of Design said,

DJXHack was envisioned as a platform that bridges academia and industry through action. It is not limited to students, it is equally relevant for working professionals who want to collaborate, experiment, and innovate in a structured, high-energy environment. By bringing diverse skill sets together, we create a space where ideas can evolve rapidly and practical solutions can emerge through collective expertise.”

With its second edition, DJXHack aims to further strengthen its role as a collaborative ecosystem that supports creative risk-taking, applied learning, and meaningful industry engagement. Registrations are now open for participants and mentors from across design, technology, and allied disciplines.
