Birla Open Minds Hosts Grand, Interschool Sports Meet 2025 in Warangal

Hyderabad, Dec 01: The spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, and youthful energy took centre stage as Birla Open Minds International School, Warangal, proudly hosted the South India Birla Interschool Sports Meet 2025. The three-day mega event brought together talented student-athletes from 11 Birla Open Minds schools across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, setting the stage for a vibrant celebration of athletic excellence.

Schools from LB Nagar, Bibinagar, Bandlaguda (Hyderabad – T.S.), Rajahmundry (A.P.), K.R. Puram Bengaluru (K.A.), Kurnool (A.P.), Karur (Tamil Nadu), Kalaburagi (Karnataka), Karimnagar (T.S.), Gangavathi (K.A.), and the host school Warangal (T.S.) competed with great zeal and determination.

With 11 thrilling sports categories Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Swimming, Archery, Kho Kho, Kabaddi, Carrom, Chess, and Skating the tournament showcased the diverse skillsets and sporting potential of young athletes from across South India.

Players participated in U-14 and U-17 Boys & Girls categories, giving rise to nail-biting matches, inspiring comebacks, and powerful performances across the grounds. From high-speed skating tracks to intense basketball face-offs and electrifying football finishes, every sporting arena at the Warangal campus echoed with cheers and competitive spirit.

The event not only highlighted the athletic prowess of students but also reinforced Birla Open Minds’ commitment to promoting holistic development, physical fitness, discipline, and teamwork among learners.

With enthusiastic participation, strong sporting ethics, and memorable victories, the South India Birla Interschool Sports Meet 2025 marked a proud moment for the Birla Open Minds network uniting schools, celebrating talent, and inspiring the champions of tomorrow.

A Taste of Fusion: IIHM Hyderabad Presents Mystical Mélange, An Indo-French Culinary & Cultural Celebration at Phoenix Arena

Hyderabad, Dec 1: The International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) Hyderabad organised “Mystical Mélange”, an Indo–French culinary and cultural evening at the Phoenix Arena, HITEC City, on Saturday night

 

It was a culinary showcase curated by over 70 third-year students is an annual event that showcases their Hotel Management skills, featuring more than 40 culinary delights to delight over 400 guests, including VIPs, Parents, and others.

 

The event aimed to spotlight a rare blend of French gastronomy and Indian culinary artistry, bringing together prominent stakeholders from the hospitality and cultural sectors.

 

Mr Pascal Loreau, Deputy Consul and Head of the Bureau de France, and Mr Suresh Chukkapalli, the Honorary Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hyderabad, added diplomatic prominence to the celebration. Senior hoteliers, hospitality leaders, and dignitaries from across Hyderabad are also expected to participate, underscoring the significance of the occasion for the city’s hospitality landscape.

   

Commenting on the show, Dr Suborno Bose, the Chairman of IIHM Hotel School, a veteran in the hospitality space, said, “Hospitality is not just an industry; it is a celebration of human connection. The food festival was organised under the Guidance of Chef Sanjay Kak, the Culinary Director of IIHM Hotel School and Mr Earnest Immanuel, the campus Director of IIHM Hyderabad. It was totally organised by the students. 

 

According to them, festivals like these and others make the students job-ready. The future of hospitality will belong to those who combine service with innovation. IIHM continues to shape young minds to become global ambassadors of India’s hospitality excellence.

 

The evening featured a curated Indo–French menu designed and executed by IIHM’s student chefs, showcasing a harmonious blend of flavours and techniques. Guests were treated to Brochettes du Chef, the institute’s signature Indo–French grilled skewers, along with a Fresh Pasta Live Station offering classic sauces prepared with refined French flair. The menu also includes Chicken Tikka Vol-au-Vents, where flaky French puff cups are filled with warm Indian-inspired flavours, and Aubergine Parmesan au Four, an elegant oven-baked eggplant dish infused with European notes. With its rich gastronomic spread, cultural exchange, and high-profile participation, “Mystical Mélange” was poised to be one of Hyderabad’s most notable culinary events of the season.

Ramagya School’s Playdate Creates a World of Joy, Learning & Discovery for Young Children

Noida, Dec 1: Ramagya School, a pioneer in holistic education, successfully hosted a grand and power-packed Playdate—a thoughtfully designed experiential event for young children and their parents. The campus transformed into a playful, colourful, and immersive environment where every corner invited exploration, creativity, movement, and joyful learning.

The event drew an overwhelming response, with enthusiastic participation from families who praised Ramagya School’s commitment to early childhood development through experiential, play-based learning.

Highlights of the Playdate Experience

The Playdate featured nine engaging activity stations, each curated to stimulate different developmental skills such as creativity, motor skills, coordination, rhythm, logic, confidence, and teamwork.

Station 1: Creative Corner – Stick & Paste Fun

A vibrant craft station where children enthusiastically decorated colourful pre-cut shapes using cotton, paper bits, pompom balls, and glitter stickers. This activity helped enhance fine motor skills, imagination, and sensory exploration.

Little hands worked with excitement as children proudly carried home their personalised creations as keepsakes of the day.

Station 2: Adventure Trail – A Journey of Fun & Challenge

One of the biggest attractions, the Adventure Trail featured tunnels, balance paths, soft hurdles, hop areas, and crawling sections.

Children embarked on this mini adventure with zeal — hopping, climbing, crawling, and balancing — all while boosting confidence, body coordination, gross motor skills, and determination. Parents cheered as their little ones completed challenges with joy on their faces.

Station 3: Hit the Bottle – Test Your Aim

This fun, interactive game had children throwing soft balls to knock down colourful bottles.

The excitement of aiming, throwing, and winning small surprises made this station a top favourite. It encouraged focus, hand–eye coordination, and sportsmanship in an enjoyable, safe manner.

Station 4: Music Station – Make Your Own Rhythm

Children gathered to explore the world of rhythm using simple, everyday objects. From tapping boxes to shaking bottles and creating beats, children discovered how music is everywhere!

This station sparked creativity, auditory development, and confidence as children expressed themselves through sound.

Station 5: Blow the Ball – Aim with Air

A fun science-meets-play activity where children used air power to guide a light ball toward a target.

The laughter and excitement filled the area as children learned about breath control, cause-and-effect, and focus — all while having delightful fun.Station 6: Let’s Color Together – Friends Wall

A large community colouring wall invited children to doodle, draw, scribble, and express freely.

This collaborative art space fostered creativity, social interaction, and bonding. The wall bloomed with colours, reflecting the imaginations of dozens of young artists working together.

Station 7: Photo Booth – Capture the Smiles

A bright, cheerful corner with fun props and colourful backdrops became the perfect spot to freeze happy memories.

Parents and children clicked vibrant pictures, making the day unforgettable

Station 8: Puzzle Time – The Wooden Wonder Table

A calm and thoughtful station with wooden puzzles focused on shapes, patterns, and spatial learning.

Kids solved puzzles individually and in groups, enhancing logical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and teamwork.

Station 9: Newspaper Walk – Don’t Touch the Ground!

A playful race where children used newspaper sheets as stepping stones to complete the course.

The activity encouraged balance, strategy, teamwork, and physical coordination — with plenty of laughter and cheering all around.
