Omkar Realtors clocks record 3,000 SRA homes delivery in its Bhoiwada project

MUMBAI,  May 2023: Mumbai’s leading SRA developer, Omkar Realtors has clocked a record delivery of 3,000 rehab units in its Bhoiwada (Parel-Sewri belt) residential project with its latest handover of 370 rehabilitation units under the state governments SRA scheme. The project now houses over 16,000 slum dwellers which will get scaled to approx. 25,000 slum dwellers at the end of the current phase.

The project, a joint venture between Omkar and L&T Realty, as part of its two-phased development will be handing over an additional 232 units by mid-June 2023 and 1400 units by 2025 making it one of the city’s largest transformed slum pockets with its high-quality 4600 homes. The project’s luxury housing quotient has been developed under the Crescent Bay brand.

The Bhoiwada project location spanning 17 acres, including Khaprideo and Marwadi Wadi, was amongst one of the most densely populated slum pockets of Mumbai which went under rehabilitation and with its ongoing transformation, is now rated amongst the leading premium residential locations in central Mumbai. The slum belt included 19 societies consisting of primarily laborers and micro traders.

The landmark project in Central Mumbai has also paved the way for 25 Balawadis for its residents and the freeing of six DP roads along with one municipal school.

Out of the 15 towers in the project, eight towers of G+40 storeyed will rate amongst the tallest SRA towers in Mumbai, has some of the best-in-its-class amenities such as branded elevators from Schindler, Somany brand tiles, and a major part of its construction driven by Larsen and Toubro (L&T) synonymous for luxury housing developments.

Omkar Realtors over the last decade has rehabilitated more than 1 lakh slum dwellers across Mumbai spanning some of the biggest slum communities with high-quality housing and also restoring significant public spaces for the city.

IPL 2023: Advertisers & viewers desert TV for digital

26 May 2023TV ratings for TATA Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL) have been seeing a significant fall in its current season. Along with weakening viewership, the advertiser count on Linear TV is on a declining trend this year.

As per the latest BARC data, the declining viewership is being witnessed in the frequency of IPL match-watching on TV. The number of matches watched on IPL has been steadily declining since IPL 2020 and is at its lowest point this year, despite 66 matches aired as compared to 60 aired matches between 2018 to 2021.
Additionally, IPL HD viewership is at a mere 30.8 Mn viewers. The 80Mn+ HD reach claimed by Star also includes Out-Of-Home HD TV’s.

Advertisers pay higher CPRP for HD households to access premium customers in their houses to get attention for their ads. However, the OOH TV HD screens do not have audio, and the profile of people on OOH is not necessarily premium. Advertisers pay for HD pay-TV households, but the reach for pay TV is only 9.5Mn households.

The declining viewership has impacted the number of advertisers advertising on TV this IPL. The number of advertisers on TV have dropped by 40% as compared to last season.

On the other hand, IPL on digital has been breaking viewership records this year. The CSK vs GT match on Tuesday clocked 2.5 crore views, the highest-ever concurrent viewership. In terms of engagement, digital continues to set new benchmarks every day. The total IPL views on digital have already crossed over 1300 crore mark, setting a world record.

In terms of sponsorships and advertisers, JioCinema has roped in 26 marquee sponsors, the highest ever for any sporting event.
