Shayna Foundation by Urban Axis plans to offer affordable housing to India’s middle-class section at 30% cheaper prices

National, October 17, 2022: The lack of affordable housing is a significant problem in urban India. The affordable properties available in the market cannot provide standard amenities like a swimming pool, high-speed lifts, etc. Consequently, this prevailing situation fails to match the expectations and necessities of middle-class homebuyers, who always have to compromise on their dreams of owning a proper house. Owing to this, even kids (belonging to the lower middle class & middle-class groups) cannot harness their talent as opposed to upper-middle-class children. Witnessing such a problem, Shayna Foundation, the first not-for-profit housing company and a subsidiary of a leading housing company Urban Axis Infratech Ltd, aims to bring potential solutions to this problem. It plans to offer affordable/economical housing targeted at middle-income home seekers at 30% cheaper prices than conventional market rates.

Shayna Foundation will be the housing company to undertake such a unique and revolutionary project in the vicinity of Uttar Pradesh. As a part of the novel initiative, the foundation has segregated the project into three phases. The first phase will offer 2BHK and 3BHK homes in Tier 2 cities (Aligarh, Bijnor, & Muzaffarnagar in Western UP, Etawah & Hamirpur in the Bundelkhand region, and Hardoi, Raebareli, Amethi & Sultanpur in Eastern UP). The projects will have high-end amenities, including swimming pools, recreational areas, and clubs. The foundation aims to complete the projects in the next five years, targeting 50,000 houses in ten cities.

In Phase 2, Shayna Foundation intends to deliver 150,000 houses to the middle-class group in another five years in 25 cities in Western UP, Bundelkhand, Region/Central UP, and Eastern UP after finishing Phase 1. Lastly, it plans to develop 300,000 houses in 5 years in 40 cities and all the remaining cities in the UP as a part of Phase 3.

Speaking on this occasion, Shashank Gupta, Managing Director of Shayna Foundation, said, “The overall affordable property market has always remained vulnerable to the growing middle-class and working population. The COVID-19 pandemic has further accelerated this issue with a significant price hike in housing segments, thereby shattering the home-buying dreams of this specific income group. At Shayna Foundation, we aim to cater to this issue by developing affordable real estate projects under a not-for-profit business model amid the rising inflation dispute. In this context, our company plans to deliver around 500,000 affordable modern homes in the next 15 years across all cities of Uttar Pradesh and then expand our footprints to the whole of India”

With their pioneering force, Shayna Foundation has become innovation-centric and future-focused to provide subsidised and modern living spaces for middle-income families.

Honorable Prime Minister of Luxembourg Mr. Xavier Bettel Visits B Medical Systems

India/October 17, 2022: On Oct 14th 2022, the Hon. Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Mr. Xavier Bettel, visited B Medical Systems, a leading global provider of medical cold chain solutions in Hosingen, Luxembourg. During the visit, the Hon. Prime Minister Mr. Xavier Bettel interacted with the management team and the employees of the company, learning about the company’s technological and manufacturing capabilities and global expansion plans; and discussing the significant impact of B Medical Systems on Luxembourg’s economy and in vaccinating the world.
B Medical Systems was recently acquired by Azenta, Inc., a leading provider of unrivaled sample exploration and management solutions to help accelerate the discovery, development, and delivery of life-saving therapies. The President and CEO of Azenta, Dr. Stephen S. Schwartz, accompanied the Prime Minister, along with Mr. Luc Provost, the CEO of B Medical Systems, and Mr. Jesal Doshi, the Deputy CEO of B Medical Systems.
“During the COVID-19 pandemic, B Medical’s products made their way around the entire world. Luxembourg, however, has known the important value of these products well before the start of the pandemic. I congratulate B Medical once more on its recent expansion to India. Today, I am glad to notice that the innovative spirit within the company is developing even faster – a spirit that is very well aligned with Luxembourg,” said Mr. Xavier Bettel, the Hon. Prime Minister of Luxembourg.
“We are excited that B Medical Systems is now part of our growing portfolio of offerings. B Medical Systems has done an outstanding job of carving out a strong market position in the vaccine cold chain, and we see opportunities to drive even further value by leveraging the Azenta platform,” said Dr. Steve Schwartz, President, and CEO of Azenta.
“The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg has played a crucial role in shaping us as a major player in the global medical cold chain landscape. The support we have received from the Government of Luxembourg has been incredible and has helped us effectively optimize our business model and facilities. Recent examples are our facility expansion in Luxembourg and the new subsidiary in India, where the Hon. Prime Minister himself played a crucial role. I am confident that we will be able to significantly expand our global impact further as part of the Azenta family and with the support of the Govt. of Luxembourg,” said Mr. Luc Provost CEO of B Medical Systems.
B Medical Systems has been supplying medical cold chain products across the world from Luxembourg for the last 40 years. The company relies on the country’s strategic location, workforce, and transportation infrastructure for the quick delivery of products worldwide. B Medical Systems’ ultra-low freezers, vaccine refrigerators/freezers, laboratory refrigerators/freezers, and transport boxes were extensively used across the world during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company has provided more than 70,000 cold chain units to 140+ countries for their effective COVID-19 immunization programs. B Medical Systems was also the exclusive supplier of Luxembourg’s COVID-19 vaccine cold chain solution.
