Criticool by GenWorks aims to Simplify Neonatal Care…

New Delhi, July 2022: GenWorks, the first start-up in the Indian healthcare industry dedicated to improving healthcare access in India, has recently launched a new product, Criticool. It is a device that allows doctors to lower the body temperatures of infants suffering from asphyxia for a specific period. Birth asphyxia, or the failure to establish breathing at birth, is one of the primary causes of cerebral palsy and early neonatal mortality. Criticool helps medical practitioners induce therapeutic hypothermia, improving neurological recovery and significantly reducing the mortality rate. It can be critical in treating asphyxia within the first 28 days of childbirth.

The survival of an infant post-high-risk delivery in Indian hospitals today is determined by life-saving technologies. As a result, patients look at doctors as gods. It is especially true in neonatal care. According to UNICEF, newborns face the highest risk of death in their first month at an average global rate of 17 deaths per 1,000 live births.

Dr Sachin Kumar Dubey, Consultant, Neonatology and Paediatrics, Yashoda Hospital and Research Center, said, “As many as 15 out of 100 babies can be saved using this machine. Criticool works best when used in tandem with Brainz Monitor, a tool for monitoring the brain status of a baby, like a heart ECG. It helps in diagnosing symptoms of seizures. Since seizures are not often manifested, we must constantly keep track of the infant’s brain activity. Investing in the right technology can significantly lower the mortality rate.”

Ganesh Prasad, Founder, MD & CEO, GenWorks, said, “Cirtcool is just one of the many offerings we bring to the table. We offer a complete portfolio in newborn care, from early screening and diagnosis to focused treatment and care. Our care has impacted more than a million newborns, from saving lives to enhancing the quality of life. Our connected care platform provides specialist access and medical facility anywhere in the country.”

According to the 2021 National Family Health Survey, promoted by immense improvement in healthcare, neonatal mortality rates have decreased from 45.1% to 35.7% over the last decade. Criticool not only aims to simplify infant healthcare, but it is out in the industry with a vision to save lives and to make a difference by a significant number and a strong success rate.

The legendary flutist Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia came forward to support Forests by Heartfulness…

Hyderabad, July 2022: Forests by Heartfulness hosted the legendary flutist Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia at Kanha Shanti Vanam – the Heartfulness Headquarters in the outskirts of Hyderabad this Sunday. Pt. Chaurasia who agreed to lend his name to the cause of promoting awareness on the importance of trees performed as a fund-raiser event called ‘Echoes of Vrindavan’ during the Bhandara fest coinciding with the auspicious occasion of the 95th birth anniversary of Pujya Chariji – the third in the lineage of the Guides of Sri Rama Chandra Mission. Present at the occasion were the Guide of Heartfulness – Shri Kamlesh Patel ‘Daaji’ who presided over the event and other dignitaries that included Shri. Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Hon’ble Minister of Panchayat Raj & Rural Development and RWS; Shri V. Srinivas Goud, Minister of Prohibition & Excise, Sports & Youth services, Tourism & Culture and Archaeology of Telangana state; Shri Somesh Kumar, The Hon’ble Chief Secretary – Telangana state; Shri Arvind Kumar, IAS, Spl. Chief Secretary, Municipal Administration & Urban Development; Smt. Shobha Royyuru, Rtd PCCF, Adviser to Govt of Telangana; Shri Viziendra, IAS, Spl Secretary Roads and Buildings; Shri Vishnu Vardhan Reddy IFS, OSD Industries promotion; Shri Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Industries and Commerce, Principal Secretary; Shri Rahul Bojja, IAS, Secretary to Chief Minister; Shri K. Ramakrishna Rao, IAS, Spl. Chief Secretary, Finance and planning; Smt. Preeti Meena IAS, Project Director, TSACS; Shri D. Ronald Rose, IAS, Secretary to Government, Finance; Shri Adhar Sinha, IAS, Spl. Chief Secretary.

The concert followed a satsangh where participants meditated under the guidance of Shri Kamlesh Patel. At least 25,000 people joined the event from Kanha Shanti Vanam as part of the ongoing Bhandara series. The event was streamed live wherein participants from around the world joined in huge numbers enthralled with the bliss of meditation coupled with mellifluous music.

Speaking on the occasion Pujya Daaji said, “Music has a divine connection. This is especially true about classical music that is so close to the divinity. It brings us closer to God. If you have ever noticed, for someone who is not an ardent devotee, it becomes hard to pray or meditate. But soulful music can not only calm his mind, but also bring the focus better and much easily on God. It helps in binding the soul with the divine source. Research has also proven that a certain kind of music can affect individuals spiritually. Different cultures have specific kinds of music for specific occasions to elicit a community mood. If you look at the Buddhist monasteries, there is a special reverberance with the kind of drumming and the chants. The same holds good at a temple. Plants are not left behind at how they can be influenced by music. A study conducted by Dr. T. C. Singh in 1962 at Annamalai University showed that balsam plants that were exposed to classical music grew by 20% with 72% increase in the biomass when compared to the control group. As humans we are privileged to have the opportunity to raise our consciousness to a higher level. Divine music and meditation serve as the means for it. The endpoint is to have our moods still, thoughts calm and unaffected by any worries or external influences. It is very graceful of Pandit Chaurasia to support a noble cause in spreading the message.”

Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, who as an avid green supporter joined hands with Forests by Heartfulness and enchanted the participants with his sublime performance said, “When we talk of Vridavan, the image that crops up is that of Krishna playing his flute as every soul around him including the plants are mesmerized by the divinity of his music. This image is further strengthened by what we have heard from the tales, the folklore and the scriptures of the kind of influence divine music had on sentient beings. Every raga has a mood, every note is a deity in itself. One cannot escape the significance of it if rendered with perfection. We need to create that reverberance – a divine environment wherein people are free from greed, envy and arrogance. Much damage has already been caused to nature. But with baby-steps the damage can be reversed. When I saw the green cover that Kanha today is, I could not believe the impact it can have on the ecology here. The centre is already attracting a number of migratory bird species. Those who are sensible are volunteering to the green initiatives with Forests by Heartfulness. I suppose we all must do our part in help creating forests save this planet.”

The Bhandara festival and the concert can be viewed on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUkBrArIanM

Recently Forests by Heartfulness received impetus by corporates also associating with them in planting more saplings at Kanha Shantivanam. The Heartfulness Tree Conservation Centre also launched a modern Tissue Culture laboratory with the aim of growing endangered indigenous tree species. With a 5,000 sft facility with 10,000 cleanroom technology, 15,00,000 annual sapling production capacity and the finest equipment and infrastructure. A team of experts from India and Israel are overseeing the project. At least five endangered varieties are propagated at the rate of 1.5-2 lacs saplings per year per variety by the Heartfulness Tree Conservation Centre. The raw material sources are obtained from native locations of the endangered species with the help of the Forest Department. Elite plant materials are obtained from fields of Kerala, Assam, AP, Tamilnadu and elsewhere wherein the desired plants are tagged for future use.

There are ongoing conservation projects at Kanha Shantivanam such as the Rainforest Project, the Deccan Plateau Project, the Food Forest Project and the Yatra Garden with volunteers helping in mass plantation. So far 700,000+ trees have been planted and 10000 + trees saved through translocation efforts and an in-house nursery that has over 500000+ varieties of saplings. The various sustainability initiatives at Kanha have resulted in impacting the microclimate of the region in a very positive way transforming a once barren stretch of land to a fertile green oasis resplendent with a variety of flora and fauna not seen before in the region.

While the endemic and food plants are grown, the rock gardens featuring the magnificence of the Deccan Plateau and a chakra-based pathway in the Chakra Garden meant for quiet contemplation attracts spiritual seekers. People are motivated to adopt and gift plants and identify land to plant a sapling by forming a group of volunteers with plantation guidelines as encouraged by the Heartfulness Institute.

Effortlessly access Prime Video’s video entertainment marketplace

MUMBAI, India – 26 July, 2022 – Starting this week, Prime Video India is rolling out a new, redesigned experience within the Prime Video app on connected living room devices, including Fire TV, as well as on the Android app. This new experience will be available on these devices to all Prime Video customers worldwide this year, with iOS and Web to follow. We are redesigning the Prime Video experience to highlight our broad selection of content and to make it easier for customers to find the content they love.

Let’s check out the new updates:

1. A more user-friendly navigation menu

We are introducing a redesigned, simplified main navigation menu that is easily accessible. This helps customers browse our broad selection—including movies, TV shows, and premium channels—and find what they’re looking for quickly and easily. Customers have an easy path to the titles included with Prime membership, such as The Family Man, Mirzapur, The Terminal List, The Boys, and the upcoming highly anticipated The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. For our living room apps, the new navigation menu has been relocated to the side of the screen for improved access. The app will launch with five primary pages: Home, Store, Find, Live TV, and My Stuff. Customers will also have sub-navigation options to more easily browse by content or offer type, such as “Movies” or “TV shows” on Home, and “Channels” or “Rent” on Store. *

2. Explore an expanded content selection through ‘Store’

Accessible through “Store” in the navigation menu, our new design contains a single destination from which customers can explore a rich catalogue of movies to rent, along with a wide selection of Channels available as add-on subscriptions. Within ‘Store’, customers are presented with intuitive sub-navigation options: “All”, “Rent”, and “Channels”. On the “Rent” page, customers can find a broad selection of additional movies beyond those available with their Prime membership. These include a curated selection of the latest Indian and international blockbusters available for early rental access, as well as popular movies from around the world. The “Channels” page offers Prime members the option to add on additional subscriptions for multiple video streaming services, providing convenient access to a broad range of additional premium titles directly within the Prime Video app.

3. A faster way to find the videos you want

The new Prime Video app comes with new carousels that not only present videos with richer and more cinematic imagery, but also enable customers to quickly and efficiently find something to stream. For example, our “Super Carousel,” with its larger, poster-style artwork, allows featured Amazon Original TV series and movies to stand out against all other titles. Our “Top 10 Charts”, available on ‘Home’ and within the “Store”, tap into the cultural and social zeitgeist, showcasing popular and trending content on Prime Video in a highly visual and easily navigable manner. Dynamic in nature, these charts offer customers an opportunity to know what others in the country are watching and to tune into content that’s popular and happening!

4. Clearly marked content

New design features make it easier for customers to tell what content is included with their Prime membership vs. what is available for purchase, either to rent or via an add-on subscription. We employ new visual cues to clearly indicate which videos are included for customers (marked with a blue checkmark icon) and which are available to rent or subscribe (marked with a gold shopping bag icon). And, near the top of Home within the “My Subscriptions” row, customers can access all videos included with their Prime membership, as well as any Channels they may have subscribed to, with only a single click.

5. Immersive visuals

The new Prime Video experience presents content with rich, immersive imagery, thoughtful details, and a new color palette. Our new carousels also showcase titles in a way that makes the experience less busy and more immersive for our customers.

6. A new hub for streaming stations

On the new “Live TV” page, customers are presented with a user-friendly program guide, from which they can easily view everything that is currently on-air from add-on Channels, as well as find out when future programming will begin. Customers can immediately view any live station to which they are subscribed, or simply click-thru to start a subscription for a new Channel.

7. A place to find your favorites –or something entirely new

The redesigned “Find” page simplifies the search experience, giving customers the option to search for a specific title or explore different genres and collections. Search suggestions are shown live as they type, and results are easily filtered by genre, language, or video quality. Search results employ the new visual cues to clearly indicate which videos are included for customers (marked with a blue checkmark icon) and which are available to rent or subscribe to (marked with a gold shopping bag icon).

Like before, ‘My Stuff’ allows customers to keep an easy tab on their downloaded videos, watchlists and also manage their Channel subscriptions, along with rented movies.

Double the Coal Production Units in AP to Reduce the Import Dependency: CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy

Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh, July, 2022: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed the officials to put up a huge poster of ACB with toll-free complaint numbers in all government offices, and hospitals within three weeks during the resource mobilization review meeting at his camp office in Tadepalli on Monday.

The Chief Minister reviewed the expected source of revenue to the state from GST, Excise, Stamps, Mines, Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA & UD), Transport, and Forest departments for the year 2022.

Forest department officials informed the Chief Minister that in the next one-month, Red Sanders exports permission would come from the Centre and global tender will be called for 5376 metric tons. Noting the submission, Chief Minister Jagan directed the officials to update the stocks of red sanders monthly and act against erring officials if there is a data mismatch.

Chief Minister Jagan instructed the Mining officials to increase the number of coal production operating areas and double the units on or before 2022. “To decrease the import of coal and its dependency from abroad, we should increase the number of operating mines,” said the Chief Minister.

They also highlighted the mining department works appreciated by the Centre with the ‘Khanija Vikas’ award and Rs 2.4 crore incentive for the best practices regarding exploration, auctioning, and monitoring of mining activities.

“Direct Mahila Police from Grama Sachivalayam to give a compliance report from the village regarding ID liquor activities so that it will be stopped at the early stage. Proper orientation should be given to Mahila Police, and get a report every week,” said the Chief Minister.

He added that during the ID liquor vehicle check, cases should be filed against the owner of the vehicle along with the driver. Further, at least conduct one surprise check at every liquor shop per month at random, and the raids should be on par with the Income Tax department so that collusion would not happen, said the Chief Minister.

“Cases should be filed against people for ID liquor under non-bailable cases. Any political nexus with ID liquor sale should be exposed and shamed apart from strong action against all,” said Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.

To clean up the corruption in sub-registrar offices in the state, Chief Minister directed the officials to come up with innovative ideas to curb it. Further, a poster containing the ACB toll-free number should be displayed in all government offices in the state in three weeks.

The Chief Minister also asked the officials to publicize the services offered in registration offices in Sachivalayams so that people own the right and legitimize their belongings.

Further to improve the revenue collection, officials requested the Chief Minister for special revision of the market value of lands in certain areas. E-stamp registration to remove corruption, digitization of old records, and improve the infra at Sachivalayams, which would act as registration centers were also discussed in the meeting.

Earlier in the meeting, Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation (APMDC) contributed Rs 5 crores to Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) towards relief measures in the Godavari flood-affected areas.
