06 January 2022, Bangalore – Eloelo, creator-led social gaming & live streaming platform, had launched a live-interactive event featuring Big Boss fame Sapna Choudhary for New Year. The Live-streaming platform witnessed record-breaking engagement with over 20,000 Users attending the Live event online, over 200,000+ comments, and 15,000+ virtual gifts sent by fans to Sapna.

The team also observed an interesting fan-war between her super fans outbidding each other with the most expensive gifts on the platform (Ferrari, Taj Mahal, Diamonds) – while a ‘Rose’ was the most popular among the crowd.

“I enjoyed the Live show, and it was frankly a very new experience for me to see so many comments from fans every minute. During the pandemic, such Live events are a great way for someone like me to connect with fans and also play a game or do a performance”, says Sapna Choudhary.

1-year-old Live Streaming & Gaming App Eloelo has quickly crossed 2.2 million users on the app. Launched in September 2020 by 2 ex-Flipkart executives, Saurabh Pandey & Akshay Dubey, it has consistently featured in the top 10 apps on Google Playstore. “Eloelo re-imagines creators as Live show anchors where they can showcase their talent or just one of our many live games like Tambola, Tol Mol Ke Bol, Antakshari, etc. Be it a creator who is just starting out or a superstar performer; the app helps them take creator-fan engagement to a different level altogether. We believe the future of entertainment is ‘Live’ & ‘Interactive’. Indigenous entertainment combined with gaming is a great way for creators to connect with the audiences of Bharat & we are just getting started”, said Saurabh, Founder & CEO of Eloelo.

Omega Seiki Mobility signs MoU with Jae Sung Tech Co., LTD, Korea for manufacturing EV Powertrains in India

New Delhi, January 06, 2022: Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) and JAE SUNG Tech Co., LTD, a leading Korean EV powertrain maker, today announced a strategic partnership to manufacture electric powertrains in India. As a part of this partnership, the two companies will be forming a new Joint Venture – OSM JAE SUNG Tech Co., LTD. The all-electric Ra314 powertrain will be the first product and will find its home in the OSM Rage+ in Q1 FY23.

The new Ra314 will be manufactured by OSM at its facility in Faridabad and in Pune at its group company, Omega Bright Steel and Components’ facility. Jae Sung will be bringing in its years of experience with the technical know-how while OSM will be bringing in its manufacturing prowess to localise the powertrain. OSM will also be testing and calibrating the Ra314 for typical Indian driving conditions.

The Ra314 stands out with its 3S build – Silent Drive, Simple Architecture, and Superior Durability. Besides, the new powertrain is IP-67 rated and will not skip a beat even if submerged in water for 30 minutes. Based on internal testing conducted by OSM and Jae Sung, the new powertrain is 30% more efficient and 20% lighter than existing power units doing duty in the electric three-wheelers at the moment. This has been made possible with an integrated motor, gearbox design. This leads to significant weight savings as well as improved vehicle efficiency.

Using an integrated architecture has also helped in reducing the number of moving parts leading to a lesser amount of wear and tear. This will percolate to longer service intervals and reduce overall service costs for the end customer. The state-of-the-art modular architecture will also allow OSM to develop the Ra314 for four-wheeler Small Commercial Vehicles (SCV).

Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman, Omega Seiki Mobility said, “OSM has always believed in constant innovation and is always working to make the product portfolio a step ahead of the competition. With this JV, I am sure the Rage+ will be an even better value proposition. Not only will the new power unit herald a new era of backward integration making our products more efficient. We will also utilise Ra314’s integrated and modular architecture to build customised power solutions for other EV makers in India to use, thus helping in faster adoption of electric vehicles in India.”

Mr. Lee Hyunjin, CEO, JAE SUNG Tech Co., LTD said, “We are delighted to partner with Omega Seiki Mobility, which is a pioneer in electric vehicle manufacturing. Our overall powertrain architecture and integration was developed with flexibility in mind to allow us to quickly adapt to the ongoing changes and developments in the industry. As a technology company, Jae Sung always believes in developing innovative solutions which are environment friendly as well as cost effective. I am positive that our advanced technologies, strong engineering background when combined with OSM’s manufacturing expertise in India, will help us to strengthen our partnership and succeed together in this rapidly growing segment.”

The Ra314 has been tested extensively and is being engineered to work in the extreme temperature range of +50°C to -20°C. This will allow the power unit to be at home across India, be it in the scorching sun of Rajasthan or freezing cold of the Himalayas.

Talking about the Ra314 Powertrain, Dr. Deb Mukherji, Managing Director, Omega Seiki Mobility said, “We will be developing Ra314 completely in India with Jae Sung technology support. It’s a next gen powertrain with IoT which will help our customers keep a track of their vehicle’s performance via an app, in a cell phone. We will also be utilising the power unit in upcoming OSM products in the near future which will include three-wheelers as well as four-wheelers.”

Omega Seiki Mobility believes in creating sustainable mobility solutions with an integrated approach to connecting automobiles and society. The brand’s focus is to eventually create a clean ecosystem with eco-friendly, safe and congestion-free mobility. OSM is one of India’s leading clean energy mobility solution incubators. The electric vehicle manufacturing company aims to fast-track future mobility, with green energy at its core, by implementing data-driven, smart engineering.

Monster Energy Honda Team one-two for Barreda and Quintanilla on the Dakar’s longest special

Saudi Arabia, January 6, 2022: Joan Barreda pushed his Honda CRF450 RALLY to the limit over the 465 kilometres of today’s special – the longest of the Dakar Rally – to finish with the day’s top time at the finish in Riyadh. Chilean rider Pablo Quintanilla put the icing on the cake for Monster Energy Honda Team by clinching the runner-up spot.

79% dirt, 12% dunes, 7% sand and 2% dried-out lake were on the menu for the longest stage of the 2022 Dakar Rally, with a 465-kilometre special and a total trek of 707 kilometres. A trial by fire for all those involved. There was a mix of different terrain types to be negotiated and some navigation too. All in all, a high-paced affair that would begin to mark out the riders who will end up in possible contention for the final Dakar prize.

The starting order for this fourth day set the stage for a promising race, particularly for Joan Barreda who came out guns blazing, firmly intent on victory, but also on improving his position in the general standings. With flawless riding and navigational prowess, the Spanish rider reached the finish-line in Riyadh the clear winner and currently holds seventh position, just over thirteen minutes shy of the overall leader. Tomorrow, Barreda will open the track with his rivals in hot pursuit. Joan was penalised one minute for exceeding the speed limit in a radar zone.

Pablo Quintanilla also performed well. An advantageous starting position also helped him follow the trail of his team-mate. The Chilean turned out a very steady stage, consistently among the top three, climbing up one position in the order in the latter half of the day. Quinta’ improves on his position in the table and now lies sixth, eleven minutes and thirteen seconds behind the race leader.

Ricky Brabec, who set off from sixth this morning in Al Qaisumah, had a fairly good day, posting tenth, but Brabec also received a two-minute penalty for speeding in a controlled area. While, José Ignacio Cornejo finished twelfth, looking more at ease on the bike as the days go by, in spite of a minor navigation mistake earlier in the special.

Tomorrow’s stage:

Stage 5: 214 kilometres of liaison sections, 346 kilometres of special stage, making a total of 560 kilometres on the day. Starting and finishing at the bivouac in Riyadh, competitors will face a new loop on this Dakar, although it won’t be the last one. The changes of terrain from dirt to stone-littered tracks will put a strain on the physiques of even the toughest riders in the opening half of the special. If that were not enough, then 50 kilometres of dunes will divide the wheat from the chaff.

Ricky Brabec- Stage: 10th Overall: 17th

“Today’s stage was good. It was the longest stage of the rally and was supposed to be the most difficult, but as it was the longest it was good to make up or lose a lot of time. Today was a good day for us. We did well. We caught the front group around the second refuelling, so there we rode as a group together. I did a good job. I didn’t lose too much time. I lost some time to my team-mate Joan who was wild. He was on the gas and him and Pablo are doing great. If we were to delete the first day, I think that the team would be sitting one-two-three. It’s rally things, like this happen. I suffered a speeding penalty today – my mistake. I sped into the speed zone a little bit late. I lost huge on the first day and I’m kicking myself. It’s a long race and we have many days left.”

Pablo Quintanilla- Stage: 2nd Overall: 6th

“It was a long special, without too much navigation and with a dune sector of about 50 kilometres. I’m happy with the way I rode today, I tried to push from the back. I was expecting more complicated navigation. I felt comfortable, at ease, with good pace and focused on the roadbook, so as not to miss any tracks and be able to make up some minutes in the general standings.”

José Ignacio Cornejo- Stage: 12th Overall: 16th

“Today was a good stage; the longest special stage of the rally. The intention was to push to try to make up time. It was a very fast stage and the gaps were not very big. I made a slight mistake where I lost about three minutes. Apart from that, it was a solid, all-round day and I’m happy about that. I had some good pace and I feel good on the bike, which is working perfectly. We have to hope for some difficult days ahead so that we can take advantage of the navigation to try to recover and move up in the general standings.”

Joan Barreda- Stage: 1st Overall: 7th

“I’m very happy with today. It was a very good stage and I achieved another win. We did a very good job from the first moment of the special. We had different terrains: sandy tracks, dunes, rocks and with some navigation. I tried to keep calm, follow our course, but pushing hard and I think we did a great job and I’m very satisfied and happy with it.”

Five Tips for a Healthier You in 2022!

by Dr. Jennifer Prabhu, M.D. (Internal Medicine and Pediatrics) Co-Founder & CEO, Circee Health- a disease-reversal and prevention platform

If you’re like me, ringing in the new year, especially after the past two very difficult years, brings along with it a sense of positivity and hope. As a doctor, I also aspire for better health- both physical and mental. Unfortunately though, as the new year looms, many people plan to begin drastic diets or exercise regimens, only to see them fail after a few weeks. In this article, I will share with you a few simple tips to help you achieve those seemingly elusive long-lasting results.

Tip #1: Eat more plants

This will always be my favourite piece of advice. Don’t underestimate the power of plants as preventative medicine! There are so many seemingly innocent fruits, veggies, nuts, grains and legumes that pack quite a punch of immunity-boosting nutrients. Is there a better way to start out a new year than with a stronger immune system? Just a few examples- for a natural vitamin C and E kick, make sure you pile on the palak (and other leafy greens like methi, sarson ka saag, laal bhaji) and bring home the broccoli (and gobi and cabbage). Zap those viruses away with zinc— found in all mushrooms, nuts, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds (til), and of course lentils and beans. And finally, delight in more vitamin D to reduce inflammation- found in most fortified cereals and all plant-based milk (soya, almond, oat, rice).

Tip #2: Reduce the inflammation-producing foods in your diet

Many people don’t realise that what you put in your mouth ultimately affects the rest of your body, not just your digestive system. If you suffer from knee pain, acne or headaches (to name a few), it might just be a result of what you eat. Unfortunately- one of the most pro-inflammatory foods is actually milk and milk products (dahi, butter, cheese, paneer and yes, even ghee). I am not asking you to completely give up all your dairy, but- try just 1-2 dairy free days a week, and notice how your body feels the following day! I promise you will feel lighter, more energized, and over time, less aches and pains! In our practice, we constantly analyze patient data and seek these gems (of pain or inflammation reduction) and present it back to the patient so they see that each time they avoided dairy, something positive happened to their bodies. These days, it is not tough to avoid dairy. Thankfully, there are a plethora of plant-based dairy substitutes out there to help when a craving strikes. If you look in my freezer, you’ll see a few vegan ice creams hiding out, waiting for such an occasion…

Tip#3: Move it! No really- get up and go

You don’t have to join a fancy gym to reap all the incredible benefits of cardiovascular exercise. Did you know that incorporating just 30-45min a day of heart-pumping activity three days a week has a 2-fold impact on heart disease for example! Increased heart rate means more blood and oxygen supply to all your vital organs including the brain (better mood and concentration), intestines (less bloating and acidity) and skin (less oil and acne). A simple rule of thumb to make sure you are putting in the ‘right amount’ of exertion is if you can hold a full conversation while exercising (without feeling breathless). If you can, you need to push harder! Walking fast will do the trick- no need to run a marathon. If you can’t get outside, there are plenty of free videos on the internet to choose from, for every age and skill level.

Tip# 4: Sleep on it

Another simple lifestyle change that can make a huge impact, is working towards increasing your sleep quality and duration. Poor sleep has been linked to depression and anxiety, obesity, high BP, even a higher risk of infections (i.e.- suppressed immunity). In the new year, set a goal to improve your ‘sleep hygiene’ and I promise you’ll notice a surprisingly positive impact on many aspects of your life. How to achieve this? I already mentioned many benefits of exercise, but did you know if you move your exercise to the evening or night, your sleep will likely be longer and deeper. Even if you just do this 1 – 2 day a week. Turn off your ‘devices’ at least one hour before bed. Choose a good book, some calming music, a warm bath or even better – meditate! There are also safe, non-habit-forming and natural supplements that can help retrain your body to sleep more efficiently. Melatonin, Ashwagandha and L-theanine have been proven to have these benefits in many clinical trials. Of course, always consult your doctor before starting any supplement.

Tip #5: Teach an old dog a new trick

It seems almost silly, but learning a new skill, taking up a new hobby, or even just setting a different long-term goal (at home, at work, with family) can start a snowball effect of positive changes. Create a goal and move towards it. Having something to look forward to and be proud of is an enormous mood booster. In fact, many research studies have found that those people without a hobby are significantly more likely to develop a mood disorder in their lifetime (anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD to name a few). We at Circee Health, for example, have incorporated this key element in our discussions with our patients. Having something to work on makes one feel positive. Another remarkable benefit of hobbies is in finding like-minded people that share your passion. Building your friend and community support circle is just as important as eating healthy and exercising. So, try something new and different this year- you never know where it might lead you!
