Karunya Institute Of Technology And Sciences Hosts International Conference In Robotics Engineering
A two-day International Conference on Robotics, Automation and Intelligent systems (ICRAINS ’21) was organized by the Department of Robotics Engineering on 12th and 13th November,2021 in virtual mode. Professor (Dr). Raziel Riemer, Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management, Bengurion University of Negev, Israel inaugurated the conference and delivered the inaugural address.
In his inaugural address, Professor Raziel elaborated on the applications of exoskeletons for biomechanical harvesting and the future of wearable robots. Dr. Shital S. Chiddarwar, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur and Mr. Dhanesh N, Asst. Manager – Robotic Application, Yaskawa India Private Limited, Bangalore were the other eminent speakers who delivered the keynote address.
Dr. Mannar Jawahar, Vice-Chancellor, Karunya University presided over the function. Dr. E. J. James, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research & Collaborations), Dr. R. Elijah Blessing, Registrar and Dr. G. Prince Arul Raj, Dean-School of Engineering & Technology offered felicitations. Dr. P.Rajalakshmy Head of the Department welcomed the participants. The conference had about 200 participants including academicians, industrialists and research from various countries like Omen, Dubai and Australia .
