Bright Minds and Seasoned Professionals Converge at the National Pharmacy Week Conclave Held at NMIMS Hyderabad
Hyderabad, December 1st, 2023: SVKM’s NMIMS School of Pharmacy and Technology Management (SPTM), Jadcherla, Hyderabad, organised the ‘National Pharmacy Week Conclave’ on 25th November 2023. The conclave saw a host of events celebrating India’s medical industry and enlightening panel discussions envisioning the future of the pharmaceutical landscape.
The unique forum aimed to bring together leaders from the pharmaceutical industry, academia, and students to engage in meaningful discussions, share insights, and chart the course for the future of pharmacy and healthcare technology.
The event was graced by eminent members from the pharmaceutical industry, namely, Mr. Chandrashekhar Kandi, Associate President, R&D Formulations, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd; Mr. Krishna Bhavanasi, Vice President Head, Formulation R&D, Natco Pharma; Mr. Prateek Dani, Associate Vice President, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories; Mr. Pankaj Kumar Garg, Commercial Head-Optimus, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories; Mr. Vivekanand Mishra, Vice President, Strategic Alliances of IHW Council and Mr. Manish Mishra, Senior Director, mRNA Strategy Lead, Pfizer. Dr. Siddhartha Ghosh, Director, NMIMS Hyderabad, and Dr. Ashwini Deshpande, Associate Dean, NMIMS Hyderabad represented the host institute.
The event commenced with a mesmerizing musical performance by SPTM students’ Performance Arts Club. This was followed by an engrossing panel discussion on the topic, ‘Navigating India’s Pharmaceutical Future: Striking a Balance among New Innovation, Generic Development and ‘Digital Transformation in Healthcare: Impact on Pharma’
‘Student Research Symposium’, saw SPTM students present their pioneering research projects and innovations. The best and the most innovative submissions were declared winners and were awarded by the visiting dignitaries. The event concluded with a spellbinding music performance.
Speaking about the success of the event, Dr. Ashwini Deshpande, Associate Dean, School of Pharmacy & Technology Management, said, “The National Pharmacy Week Conclave was organised to provide a knowledge exchange forum to the students of SPTM. The National Pharmacy Week conclave was a celebration of the dynamic synergy between academia and the pharmaceutical industry. The enriching conclave was aimed to inspire and equip the next generation of leaders in pharmacy and technology.”
