Remote Tribal School R.Z.P. Prathamik rebuilt by Arkade Developers in 60 Days, Student Enrollment Doubles
Mumbai, 31 July, 2025: A rural school serving the Katkari tribal community in Varsai Katkarwadi (Pen Taluka, Raigad District) has been completely reconstructed in just 60 days, following years of infrastructural neglect that had left it on the brink of closure. The initiative, led by Arkade Developers Limited in collaboration with The Sajjan Jain Support Trust and Youth with Vision, has transformed the R.Z.P. Prathamik School into a safe, functional learning space, ahead of the new academic year starting in July 2025.
Prior to the intervention, the school was operating under precarious conditions in a severely dilapidated structure, with leaking roofs, broken walls, and no proper furniture or sanitation. With just 16 students enrolled and only one teacher, the school was struggling to survive.
Arkade Developers and the Malad Kandivali Education Society (MKES) extended their support by sponsoring benches, books, and essential educational supplies, ensuring that both students and teachers are well-equipped. Before this initiative, the school served just 16 students. Post-redevelopment, enrollment is set to nearly double to 30 students from Grades 1 to 4, facilitated by two classrooms and one dedicated teacher. This remarkable transformation not only reflects a tangible upgrade in infrastructure but also symbolises a renewed sense of community trust and commitment towards education.

In the heart of this Adivasi village, education rises again, bringing hope to generations and turning silence into the sound of learning, laughter, and limitless possibilities.”
