Nation’s Teachers are Nation Builders
Dr. Archika Didi
The proclamation of Indian culture and “Acharya Devo Bhava:” lays the foundation for making the relationship between teachers and students of the country sweet, respectful, and loving. Krishna-Sudama in Sandipani Ji’s ashram, Lord Ram and Lakshman in Vashishta-Vishvamitra ji’s ashrams, Shivaji’s life education, war, spirituality i.e., in all spheres of life were made proficient under the guidance of Guru Samarth Ramdas ji. There are hundreds of such examples in the history of the country.
In present India, every year 5th September has been celebrated as Teacher’s Day for many years, which is a reflection of the truth that the teacher inculcates the best values in the soft mind of the student. He himself becomes an ideal and gives worldly knowledge to the student and makes him acquainted with the best qualities of humanity. That is why he is revered. This tradition started with the first former Vice President of India, then Sarvepalli Dr. Radhakrishnan, who adorned the post of President in 1962-67. He himself was a scholar, philosopher, and intellectual of a high order. The students respected him so much that they wanted to make his birthday on the 5th of September every year in his name. But he said that 5th September will be celebrated as Teacher’s Day and this announcement has become a great tradition for the future.
Sadh guru Shri Sudhanshu ji Maharaj was ideal in the role of student. Through Vishwa Jagriti Mission, he established many Gurukuls, educational institutions, where students are trained in worldly and transcendental fields by making them proficient in religion, spirituality, yoga, music, courteous behavior, computers etc.
Hundreds of his trained students are raising the name of the institution in the country and abroad. Gurudev himself is also an ideal student, teacher, and guru, who has inspired thousands of human beings on the right path.
