Greenwood High donates 250 student chairs and desks to Government schools in Anekal Taluk

Bangalore, December 16, 2022: Greenwood High International School has always nurtured the philosophy of community building and actively contributing to the well-being of people in surrounding areas. Continuing this philanthropic gesture, Greenwood High has donated 250 student chairs and desks to Government schools in Nerige Gram Panchayat, Anekal Taluk. Further, the school has also planned to donate Bluetooth speakers, flags, and boards to government schools soon.

The furniture sets were presented by Mrs. Niru Agarwal, Trustee of Greenwood High in the presence of panchayat members and representatives from 11 surrounding villages who greatly appreciated this kind endeavor from the school. This initiative is part of Greenwood High’s vision of promoting quality education and a conducive learning environment in the community.

“School infrastructure plays an extremely significant role in empowering students for a better future. An initiative like this will go a long way in helping students in realizing their dream. We are grateful to Greenwood High for this noble initiative,” said a representative from the local taluk.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Niru Agarwal, Trustee, of Greenwood High International School said: “We believe in inculcating values of benevolence and philanthropy among our students and we too practice the same. Students are excited about doing their bit to help those in need. We all have our commitments towards a society that has stood by us since the very beginning.”

Greenwood High has always been taking the initiative to help those in need. During the Uttarakhand floods, the students had raised an amount of Rs 50 Lakh along with food, and clothing to alleviate the suffering of the victims. The school had also come forward to do its bit during the Chennai floods. During the pandemic, the school had undertaken the initiative to supply free meals for underprivileged families every day and distributed them in the local community. Furthermore, various programs in the school encourage and engage students in community services like helping orphanages, slums, the elderly, etc.
