Dr Birbal Jha Strikes a Chord with Soulful Message on World Music Day

Patna, 23 June 2025: British Lingua, a leading training institute for English communication skills, came alive with rhythm and resonance as it marked Fête de la Musique – World Music Day with a vibrant celebration of melody, meaning, and multicultural unity.

The highlight of the event was a compelling address by Dr Birbal Jha, noted linguist, English litterateur, and social reformer, who underscored music’s role as a universal language that transcends words and boundaries.

“Language teaches us to speak, but music—the soulful rhythm and heartbeat of cultures—teaches us to feel, heal, unite, and rise beyond words and borders,” said Dr Jha, capturing the essence of the day.
Describing music as a transformative force, he noted: “Music is not merely entertainment; it is enlightenment wrapped in melody.” “In a world of noise, music is the voice of peace.”, added Dr Birbal Jha, who is credited with creating an English skills training revolution in India.

The event, held at British Lingua’s main campus at Boring Road Crossing, Patna, drew an enthusiastic crowd of students, musicians, educators, and language enthusiasts. The celebrations included musical performances, cultural exchanges, and interactive sessions that celebrated music’s ability to build bridges and foster harmony.

Concluding his address, Dr Jha urged participants to make music an inner journey as much as an external expression: “Celebrate Fête de la Musique by tuning in to your inner harmony and dancing with the melody of life.”

The event reaffirmed British Lingua’s commitment to holistic education—where language empowers expression, and music nourishes the soul.
