Kolkata, June 2023: JIS College of Engineering (JISCE), under the JIS Group, hosted the inauguration ceremony of AICTE IDEA LAB. The ceremony took place at the JIS College do Engineering campus, located at Kalyani, Nadia. Esteemed dignitaries like Dr. Neeraj Saxena, who is serving as an Advisor – and heading the Institutional Development Cell (IDC) of AICTE along with Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director, JIS Group, Sardar Simarpreet Singh, Director, JIS Group and Sardarni Jaspreet Kaur, Director, JIS Group were present at the event along with the Principal, Registrar, Entrepreneurs, Industry Personnel, Faculty and Students from nearby school and colleges.
The AICTE – IDEA Lab is sanctioned to JIS College of Engineering with a total project cost of Rs. 97.70 lakhs which are funded in 1:1 by both the AICTE & JISCE and thus making it the Nadia’s First Institution to have AICTE Idea Lab.
This cutting-edge AICTE-IDEA (Innovation, Design, Entrepreneurship, and Augmentation) LAB, is a pioneering initiative aimed at fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit among our talented students. This state-of-the-art facility is equipped with avant-garde technologies, tools, and resources to provide an exceptional platform for ideation, prototyping, and project development.
Commenting on the event, Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director, of JIS Group, said, “We are thrilled to be able to inaugurate the prestigious IDEA LAB granted by the AICTE.
