Vaidam Health Acquires MediJourney, Expands Global Healthcare Capabilities
New Delhi, 24th June 2025: In a strategic move to strengthen its leadership in cross-border healthcare facilitation, Vaidam Health, a leading medical tourism company in India has acquired MediJourney, a 2024 digital-first medical tourism platform, previously incubated by Ferns N Petals (FNP). The all-cash deal marks a significant milestone in Vaidam’s growth journey, aimed at expanding its global footprint, deepening technology integration, and enhancing patient experience at scale.
MediJourney is a tech-enabled, patient-focused platform helping international patients access reliable healthcare options. The acquisition allows Vaidam to tap into MediJourney’s agile digital infrastructure and broaden its engagement across high-growth markets.
Rishabh Jalan, Co-Founder of MediJourney, added: “This acquisition represents a powerful synergy between two companies that share a common vision for innovation and customer-centric solutions. By joining forces with Vaidam Health, we are ensuring that our technology and expertise reach new heights, benefiting a wider audience while allowing us to focus on new strategic opportunities.”
Vaidam Health, founded in 2016 by Pankaj Chandna and Manish Chandra, is India’s leading technology-led platform for medical travel. With over 25,000 global patient interactions per month on their online platform for international patients coming to India and a presence in seven countries, the company offers end-to-end support, including treatment discovery, visa processing, interpreter services, and post-treatment care. They facilitate treatments in some of the best hospitals in India.
Through this acquisition, Vaidam is targeting a 40-50% growth in active patient engagements over the next year and strengthening its presence across key international markets, including Africa and Southeast Asia, where it already operates through multiple on-ground teams and information centres.
“We welcome MediJourney to Vaidam Health,” said Pankaj Chandna, Co-Founder of Vaidam Health. “MediJourney’s platform complements our infrastructure and broadens our ability to connect international patients with trusted healthcare options in India. This acquisition reflects our commitment to simplifying access to quality treatment for patients worldwide.”
Post-acquisition, MediJourney will continue to operate independently under Vaidam’s ownership while leveraging its in-house technology stack, hospital partnerships, and multilingual case management systems. Key areas of focus include enhanced AI-assisted navigation, customised onboarding journeys, and operational integration across Vaidam’s partner hospitals.
For Vaidam, the acquisition is in line with its vision to build the world’s most comprehensive and reliable medical tourism platform, one that goes beyond aggregation to deliver a full-stack, high-touch experience driven by transparency, technology, and empathy.
The move comes at a time when India is positioning itself as a hub for global health tourism. Vaidam’s ability to merge tech innovation with human support gives it a competitive edge, and the integration with MediJourney strengthens its ability to serve patients worldwide with greater speed, clarity, and care.
