Signature Global Group commemorates National Safety Week

Signature Global, India’s leading real estate group and pioneer in affordable housing, celebrated 51th National Safety Day & Week at its project sites in Gurugram. During the campaign week (4th-10th March 2022), the Company will conduct a week-long campaign with the participation of both Contractors, employees, and construction workers aiming to renew the commitment to work safely throughout the year and integrate Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) into corporate operations and compliance into its culture and workforce.
As part of the celebrations and to focus on this year’s theme “Nurture young minds – Develop safety culture”, a variety of safety awareness activities and competitions are being held during the week at Signature Global project sites located at Sector 36 Sohna – Park 4 and 5 and The Serenas at Sohna, at The Proxima sector 89, Millennia 1 at 37D, SG City at sector 81, SG City at Sector 92.
On the occasion, Mr. Pradeep Aggarwal, Founder & Chairman, Signature Global Group and Chairman, ASSOCHAM, National Council on Real Estate, Housing and Urban Development said, ” As a company, Signature Global has always placed great importance on maintaining a healthy and safe work environment, while providing the highest quality standards to customers. In addition to raising awareness of safe work practices, initiatives such as Safety Week provide us with an opportunity to pitch in and help implement correct safety policies on a daily basis to minimize adverse incidents.”
As part of Signature Global’s activities, this year are special demonstration sessions and mock drills demonstrating the safe handling of construction materials, equipment, and machinery. Additionally, safety awareness sessions with speeches from the project heads and the HSE team, a flag hoisting ceremony, pinning of safety badges, and banner & poster displays are being conducted, along with health checkup camps for workers.
The National Safety Council established the observance in 1972 in hope of increasing public awareness of various safety measures, such as road safety, workplace safety, human health, as well as environmental safety. The National Safety Council of India celebrates National Safety Day every year on 4th March, with a weeklong safety program from 4th to 10th March.
