Shore Leave Festival Returns to Geraldton – Get Your Tickets Now
Feb 20, 2025: Returning from April 23, 2025, Western Australia’s annual Shore Leave Festival will be held in Geraldton / Jambinu, located 4.5 hours’ drive north of Perth / Boorloo, or a one-hour flight. It’s an incredible celebration of the region’s unique seafood, adventures and culture. Geraldton is a top destination for surfing, kite surfing, windsurfing, diving, snorkelling, boating and fishing.
The regional town is located on the Coral Coast Highway, a 4.5-hour drive north of Perth. Alternatively, one can catch a one-hour flight from Perth to Geraldton.
The festival’s most iconic event is the Abrolhos Long Table Lunch on East Wallabi Island. In 2025, there will be two sittings due to demand, while the Midwest Paddock to Plate event will return to Yanget Farm for a night of dining under the stars.
Tickets for the Shore Leave Festival are already on sale from last Thursday 13 February, with a long table lunch on the beaches of the Abrolhos Islands to again be the highlight of the event.
The Helm is the main hub of the festival, offering a variety of food and beverage vendors, live music, family-friendly craft workshops and sunset views from its vantage point on Geraldton’s foreshore. Additionally, a wide range of additional free and ticketed events round out the festival’s offering, catering to all ages.
Geraldton is rich in heritage. Here you can step inside the WA Museum – Geraldton and learn about the tragic stories revealed by relics of shipwrecks. You can also visit the HMAS Sydney II memorial to remember the 645 crew members lost in 1941.
Travelling to Geraldton for the annual Shore Leave Festival has been made easier this year, with discounted airfares on offer for the region’s signature event. Nexus Airlines is offering 300 discounted one-way airfares between Perth and Geraldton, exclusively for Shore Leave attendees with a ticket to the festival.
