RuralShores Skills Academy Joins Hands with DSEU Lighthouse Communities Foundation to Empower Youth in Digital Marketing
New Delhi, July 30, 2025: RuralShores Skills Academy (RSA), with Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) Lighthouse Communities Foundation, has introduced a free Digital Marketing Certification Program for youth from underserved communities. The pioneering program aims to bridge the digital divide by imparting future-proof skills to first-generation learners, women, and youth from underserved families, who might not have exposure to formal digital education.
This program follows a 3+3 format, i.e., three months of extensive classroom training and then three months of on the-job training as an internship. Phase 1 of the pilot has kicked off in Delhi, specifically at the DSEU Lighthouse Centre in Malka Ganj, with 60+ learners enrolled in the batch. The initiative is expected to expand to multiple locations across India.
The course curriculum includes Digital Marketing skills in addition to technical knowledge, allowing students to develop an impressive portfolio for future employers. The program also equips students with the necessary 21st-century skills, enhances their confidence to portray themselves well, and gives them a good foundation to begin freelancing businesses. They will also develop a digital portfolio and get formal certification upon finishing, along with placement assistance.
Commenting on the collaboration, Mr. Neeraj Agarwal, CEO, RuralShores Skills Academy, said, “We firmly believe that young individuals from all sections of society need to have access to the skills that enable them to excel in the current digital economy. Supported by the right interventions and experiential learning, they can overcome the barriers and succeed. Though we are starting with 60 students in Delhi through this online learning initiative with Lighthouse Communities, our plan is much broader, as we are determined to scale this model to several regions all over India and empower thousands of youth to convert learning into profitable livelihood opportunities.”
By combining RSA’s vocational education, DSEU Lighthouse‘s skilling facilities and long-standing community networks, the initiative seeks to create a scalable and inclusive platform that equips underserved youth to confidently transition into India’s digital workforce.
