Celebrate this year’s Independence Day with ‘Braveheart Brunch’ at DoubleTree by Hilton Gurugram Baani Square As India prepares to celebrate its 78th Independence Day on August 15, Glasshouse, the award-winning all-day dining restaurant at DoubleTree by Hilton Gurugram Baani Square, has found a unique way to honour the courageous soldiers whose valour has safeguarded our freedom. On August 15, the restaurant will host a “Braveheart Brunch,” offering guests the chance to explore the culinary stories of regimental cuisine from the armed forces while celebrating India’s rich culinary heritage.

The Braveheart Brunch will showcase a diverse range of dishes from 28 different states of India, demonstrating how our defence forces, in addition to safeguarding our borders, play a vital role in preserving and nurturing the gastronomic tradition of various regions across the country.

The menu, inspired by an archive of regimental recipes from the Army Supply Corps Centre and College in Bangalore, features iconic delicacies such as Ladakhi Chicken Thupka from the Ladakh and Assam Regiments, Litti Chokha from the Bihar Regiment, Mutton Roganjosh from the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI), the Jammu and Kashmir Rifles (JAK RIF), and Dogra Regiment, Butter Chicken from the Sikh, Punjab Regiments and the Sikh Light Infantry (Sikh LI), Rajasthani Gattha Pulao from the Rajasthan Rifles (Raj RIF), Rajput, and JAT Regiments, Puran Poli from the Maratha Regiment, and Kanyakumari Fish Curry from the Madras Regiment.
