As the digital revolution unfolds, man’s confidence and dependence on technology and data has been increasing exponentially and rightly so. There is a remarkable impact on the manner that technology has not only foreseen crisis but also helped manage it. Tech moguls around the globe have been going all out to help to support Covid- Personnels to relieve the roaring crisis. Right from developing products/ applications to combat the virus to keeping a track of spread in your locale, IT Pros have been catering to all needs.

For every organization across the globe, digital has become an essential lifeline. Technology without a doubt has been a saviour than ever before for the Healthline industry, right from digital applications servicing Covid- data like the Arogya Setu App to E- Pharmacy and telemedicines. According to a recent report titled ‘Adoption of telemedicine and e-pharmacy during the pandemic’ curated by WATConsult, more than 60% of the people are using e-pharm and telemedicine apps at least once a month. These innovative tech-driven services are contributing towards the future-ready digital health system in India and are empowering its people by offering affordable access to healthcare instantly.

According to me, the area that needs more tech- support and is logically achievable is mental health applications. This one area has room for improvement and is one of the most concerning matters in hand that the world is witnessing, especially in India. Apps like Calm, Headspace, Shine, etc have been really helpful but to the ones who are informed enough to access the same. Similar platforms need to be made available to a more local audience geographically.

Data banks have been collecting data from every possible source to present the statistics to WHO, governments, and aid organizations on the pandemic and its dynamic nature. This data will help organizations plan their needs for medication, vaccines and hospital provisions to save the lives of their citizens. Policymakers and the cabinets can now utilize this data to provide all the medical resources for the safety of their people. The only concern here being, a more resourceful layout of the same has to be observed and practised to level down the crisis graph.

The financial institutions will need a more stronger support for wealth management, video banking and other advisory services for which an upgrade is of significance, given that the clients might remain hesitant for an advisor face- to- face considering mandatory precautions. Since a lot of our work modules saw a huge digital shift, a lot of customers went on to heavily automating their back office to reduce manual interventions and adapt to better and faster IT Operations for which investment in robotics and automation is suggested in order to help scale relief in times of crisis.

Technology and data application are bursting with potential and resources which we are yet to entirely saturate. The use of robotics and AI can be a game-changer in the current pandemic since the infection rates are so high. Countries like China are already utilizing robots to deliver medication, sanitize rooms, and take the temperature of patients. Other countries need to follow suit and allow technology to prevent & contain the crisis. With everything in hand that we have right now in terms of AI and Tech- Support, a more supervised instruction of to-dos making use of these upgraded advances will showcase desired results. Balanced exposure of Data and tech delivery can definitely help see-saw the current situation and tame it down to a more settled scenario.
