Alaknanda institute for performing arts presents 75th Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav with MAHARAAS on 7th May 2022 at Kamani Auditorium at 6 pm. The MAHARAAS will be performed by Sunny Shishodiya (Kathak) Suhail Bhan (Bharatnatyam) Vinod Kevin Bachan (Odissi) and Rajesh Sai Babu (Chhau) with Alaknanda Dasgupta (Kathak) and Alaknanda Sanskriti troupe.
“MAHARAAS” is conceptualised by Nrityashri Alaknanda Dasgputa. With text and music conceptualiser is Gauri Diwakar with enthralling music by Sami Ullah Khan, Girdhari and Srinagar by Vijay Parihar. Alaknanda Institute for Performing Arts (AIPA) was established in 1990 with the sole purpose of promoting pure classical art and culture to society. Since then, Alaknanda Institute for Performing Arts has been successfully pursuing this vision for over two decades. Alaknanada ji is born to illustrious parents Dr. Hiron Dasgupta and Shri. Gautam Dasgupta is an ICCR empanelled artists and also is the STATE ICON for Election Commission, New Delhi and Brand Ambassador for EDMC and NDMC for Swwach Bharat Abhiyan.
