G Square Family Donates Electric Buses to Sri Thandayuthapani Temple, Palani on the Occasion of Mr. Bala Ramajayam’s Parents’ 51st Wedding Anniversary
In a continued effort to enhance the darshan experience for devotees—especially the elderly, children, and differently-abled visitors—the Sri Thandayuthapani Temple, Palani, has been operating electric vehicles along its giriveethi (temple circumambulatory path) since March 8, 2024.
Supporting this eco-conscious initiative, Mr. Rangasamy and Mrs. Baby—parents of Mr. Bala Ramajayam, Founder and Managing Director of G Square Group.—donated a 23-seater electric bus and an 11-seater mini electric bus to the temple on July 1, 2025, in celebration of their 51st wedding anniversary. This thoughtful contribution further strengthens the temple’s efforts to provide convenient and inclusive access for all devotees.
With these new additions, the temple’s transportation fleet now comprises 33 vehicles, including seventeen 11-seater battery cars, thirteen 23-seater electric minibuses (inclusive of the newly donated ones), and two diesel minibuses. These services are provided entirely free of cost, ensuring that thousands of pilgrims enjoy a comfortable, hassle-free, and environmentally friendly visit to this sacred shrine.
By reducing physical strain and facilitating smooth movement across the temple’s expansive premises, the electric vehicles have significantly enhanced the spiritual experience for visitors, making it more inclusive, accessible, and serene.
