DPS RN Extension Partners with CACA, Hosts Workshop for Teachers on Children’s safety and Well-Being

DPS RN Extension, in association with Child Abuse Combat Awareness (CACA), organised an extensive workshop for teachers aiming at enhancing children’s safety and well-being. Advocacy ambassadors Ms. Parnika Rastogi and Ms. Jahnavi Singh presented CACA’s mission, highlighting the mandatory reporting of sexual offences and the educators’ legal obligations.

The workshop delved into critical legal frameworks such as the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act. Teachers received a list of resources, including helpline numbers for local children, protection units and counselling services. The teachers then shared their feedback, expressing appreciation for the comprehensive coverage of the topics and the practical knowledge gained.

With valuable insights from CACA, this workshop has equipped our educators with the crucial knowledge and tools needed to protect and support our children.
