Happpiness: A State of Being
True Happpiness is not something we find in external sources. It does not depend on people, places or our possessions. It’s an inner state of being. It’s not an emotion, but a profound sense of joy that emanates from within. This inner Happpiness is not fleeting; it’s eternal. And the way to eternal bliss is through Spirituality.
The Three Ps of Happpiness
I spell happiness with three Ps. The three Ps stand for Pleasure, Peace and Purpose. Pleasure is temporary Happpiness derived from external sources. Peace is the foundation of true Happpiness, a state of being that’s unaffected by external circumstances. Purpose is the highest peak of Happpiness, attained through Enlightenment and self-realization. We must evolve in life from a life of pleasure to a life of peace and ultimately discover the purpose of life: Who am I and why am I here? Spirituality leads us to the answers.
Spirituality: The Path to True Happpiness
Spirituality is the science of the Spirit, the Soul, the Atman. It’s a journey of self-discovery, self-realization and God-realization. Realization of the truth liberates us from the triple suffering — the pain of the body, misery of the mind, agony of the ego. By following the path of spirituality, we can experience the highest form of happpiness – SatChitAnanda, Truth Consciousness Bliss, a state of Eternal Bliss. Finally, when the body dies, we become one with the Supreme Immortal Power, SIP, we call God.
Balancing Spirituality and Everyday Life
We don’t need to balance Spirituality and everyday life; instead, we can live our everyday life in a spiritual way. Spirituality is not about leaving this world or renunciation or living an ascetic life. It is about realization. It is about living as who we are — the Soul. Spirituality guides us to our highest purpose.
The Power of Self-Realization and God-Realization
When we attain self-realization, we understand that we’re not the body, mind or ego. We’re the Divine Soul, a Spark Of Unique Life. In fact, we are all manifestations of the Divine, the Supreme Immortal Power. God-realization, realizing the truth that God is everywhere, in everything, transforms our life, inspiring us to live as instruments of the Divine. It fosters love, peace and oneness with nature and this world, eliminating conflicts, differences and divisions among people.
Karma and the Art of Acceptance and Surrender
Spirituality teaches us the art of acceptance and surrender. We realize that the suffering or trauma that is unfolding in life is because of Karma. As we give, we get. Good for good. Bad for bad. And ultimately, it is all a drama, a show, the Leela of the Divine. Therefore, we accept what we can’t change. We do our best and surrender the rest to the Divine.
Spirituality and everyday life, therefore, are not separate paths; they’re intertwined. By practising spiritual practices like meditation, praying, being in Yoga and incorporating spiritual principles into our daily life, we can experience everlasting peace, love and bliss.
