America’s Best: Palomar Medical Center Escondido Honored by Newsweek

Newsweek partnered with online statistic platform Statista to publish this year’s list of America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Over 5,000 Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) nationwide were rigorously evaluated on key criteria including quality of care, patient experience, performance data and peer recommendations.

From using quality metrics data from nine different CMS measures to public surveys, this list has ranked ASCs based on a sum of collected scoring from four different scores: reputation, CMS measurements, patient experience and accreditation scores.
Ranking ASCs on their quality of care, patient experience, performance data and peer recommendations is crucial to help provide information for individuals to make confident and informed decisions when it comes to the healthcare needs of patients and loved ones.
