Students of MRG School Create Sensorial Park
The students of MRG School’s Cambridge wing have set another benchmark as they built a ‘Sensorial Park’ under their Geo Inquiry Project. A group of 35-40 students built the park with the help of household items and other discarded stuff. The project was a part of the international curriculum that the school follows, apart from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The park was made of collected and created trash as an ode to the environment.
This eco-friendly park can be touched and felt and has depictions of multiple themes, including creating melodies (musical instruments) and household items. The aim of the project was to give back to the environment as much as we receive, and, hence, the project was composed of reusable products. Students set the example of maintaining ecological balance through this project.
“The ‘Geo Inquiry Project’ is aimed to nurture the learners’ capacity to make a meaningful contribution to the community and society. The ‘Sensory Park’ was created entirely out of the trash, and our students have done wonders in the project. This was our way to sensitise people and effectively encourage waste prevention, reuse and recycling behaviours in our society. This park is not only a valuable addition to our school but has also boosted the students’ self-assurance and sense of ownership,” said Ms. Anshu Mital, Principal, MRG School.
