Telangana Attracts Slovenian Businesses for New Partnerships

Slovenian businesses are looking for partnership opportunities in Telangana:  Her Excellency Mateja Vodeb Ghosh, Ambassador of Slovenia to IndiaHyderabad, March 24, 2025: The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) hosted an interactive meeting with Her Excellency Mateja Vodeb Ghosh, Ambassador of Slovenia to India at Federation House, FTCCI in Red Hills stated a press note issued in the city today.

Addressing the delegates, Her Excellency Mateja Vodeb Ghosh expressed keen interest in fostering increased business engagement between Slovenia and India with special emphasis on Telangana, noting that Slovenian businesses are actively looking for partnership opportunities in the region. H.E. Mateja Vodeb Ghosh highlighted specific areas of potential collaboration including import-export ventures, agro-processing, pharmaceuticals, and advanced manufacturing.

Dr. Suresh Kumar Singhal, President, FTCCI, welcomed the Ambassador and highlighted the strong economic ties between India and Slovenia, emphasising the growth opportunities in sectors such as technology, green energy, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing.

Mr. Chakravarthy AVPS, Chair of the International Trade and Business Relations Committee, presented an overview of FTCCI’s activities and its role in promoting international trade and business collaborations. He detailed how FTCCI supports its members in expanding their global footprint through various initiatives and trade facilitation services.

Key industry leaders representing various sectors of the Telangana business community participated in the interactive meeting. The participants were engaged directly with the Ambassador, discussing sector-specific opportunities, regulatory frameworks, and potential areas for bilateral trade growth. Participants explored avenues for technology transfer, joint ventures, and market access strategies that could benefit businesses from both regions.

It was mutually agreed to promote trade relations between Slovenia and Telangana. Ms. Tea Pirih, Economic Counsellor of the Republic of Slovenia, Mr. K K Maheshwari, Vice President of FTCCI, Ms. Tasneem Sheriff, Chair of the Women Empowerment Committee and Co-Chair of Corporate Affairs Committee, and Ms. T. Sujatha, Senior Director of FTCCI participated in this meeting.
