ITM Vocational University Organized Five-Day Faculty Development Program on Engage, Educate, Empower
Delhi, July 22, 2025: ITM Vocational University, Vadodara, successfully conducted a five day Faculty Development Program (FDP) from July 7 to 11, 2025, under the theme “Engage, Educate, Empower.” Organized by the university’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), the program aimed to enhance the knowledge, teaching practices, and mentoring abilities of faculty members through expert sessions and collaborative learning. A total of 55 faculty members participated in the program.
The FDP began with a session by Dr. RSS Mani, Vice President – Institutional Development, ITM Group of Institutions, who spoke on “Shaping Futures Through Mentorship.” On the second day, Mr. Amit Kumar Dutta, General Secretary of Akhil Bharat Vivekanand Yuva Mandal, addressed “Character Building, Man-Making Education of Swami Vivekananda,” followed by a book launch event.
Ms. Anvikshaa Bisen, UNICEF’s Head of International Policy & Advocacy (Europe & UK), led the third day with a session on “Understanding Student Learning Styles,” focusing on adapting teaching to diverse learner needs. On day four, Dr. Smriti Verma, Dean at Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, discussed “AI Tools in Research Paper Writing,” highlighting technology-driven academic tools.
The program concluded with Dr. Anil M. Bisen, Provost, ITM Vocational University, sharing insights on “Best Practices in Teaching.” His session emphasized innovative pedagogy and continuous professional growth.
“Our goal is to empower educators with tools and perspectives that drive meaningful learning outcomes,” said Dr. Anil M. Bisen. “This FDP is a step toward creating an engaged and future-ready academic community.”
The FDP reflected ITM Vocational University’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and faculty development.
