IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals receives REACH certification
8th October 2022, Ludhiana: IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Limited (IOL), a leading manufacturer of pharmaceuticals (APIs) and specialty chemicals, announced receiving REACH certification for the supply of Ethyl Acetate (CAS: 141-7-86) across the European market. The company exports Ethyl Acetate to more than 40 countries. The company also announced the appointment of REACHLaw, as its Only Representative (OR) to assist the Company in broadening its arms and expanding its territory in European nations.
REACH is a regulation of the European Union (EU), adopted to strengthen the protection of human health and the environment. The law aims at boosting the competitiveness of the EU Chemicals Sector. This certification will open a window for IOL to export Ethyl Acetate across all European Union.
IOL started production of Ethyl Acetate in 1996. It has the largest single-location plant of Ethyl Acetate in India, with a production capacity of 120,000 tonnes per annum. Besides Ethyl Acetate, the company also produces other key specialty chemicals such as Acetyl Chloride, Mono Chloro Acetic Acid, and Iso-Butyl Benzene.
