HCLFoundation culminates the 11th Edition of HCLTech Grant Symposium series in Delhi

NOIDA, India, July 12, 2025: HCLFoundation, responsible for the corporate social responsibility (CSR) agenda of global technology company HCLTech in India, has successfully concluded the 11th edition of the HCLTech Grant Pan-India Symposium Series in New Delhi. The theme for the concluding symposium was ‘Pathways from Policy to Practice: Role of Civil Society’, which brought together 400 NGOs as participants. This year’s series, which traveled through eight cities – Ahmedabad, Jodhpur, Gangtok, Bengaluru, Ranchi, Pune, and Bhopal, culminating in New Delhi that brought together 1,700+ stakeholders, including NGOs in total, subject-matter experts, government representatives and community leaders committed to fostering sustainable development. Each city focused on a unique CSR theme, including grassroots development, environmental stewardship, community-driven initiatives and climate action.

From the 11th edition onward, the program has expanded its rural development focus, increasing its annual outlay by 45% to ₹24 crore. Winning NGOs now receive ₹5 crore for four-year projects, while eight runners-up get ₹50 lakh for two-year initiatives. This enhanced support covers Education, Healthcare, a revised Biodiversity category, and the newly introduced Water category, encouraging innovative, community-led solutions. Since inception 10 years ago, it has committed ₹152.8 crores to 59 impactful projects, benefiting over 2.2 million people across 131 districts in 22 states and 2 Union Territories.

Over the years, HCLFoundation has aimed towards building an inclusive and equitable ecosystem for transformative change through the HCLTech Grant. This year, we prioritized Water as a critical sub-category under Environment – recognizing its role as the lifeline of communities and ecosystems. The response from NGOs tackling water scarcity, pollution and access has been profoundly inspiring. With several water-focused organizations participating in Delhi alone, we’re poised to drive measurable impact in this vital sector” said Dr. Nidhi Pundhir, SVP, Global CSR, HCLTech, and Director, HCLFoundation.

Launched in 2015, the HCLTech Grant supports and recognizes NGOs driving transformative change. Now in its 11th year, the Pan-India Symposium series provides a collaborative platform for social purpose organizations to share insights and foster sustainable development.
