The Delhi Budget 2025 takes a major step in enhancing the city’s infrastructure and urban development. With key investments in road and bridge infrastructure, power supply, and water management, the government is focusing on improving urban quality of life. The ₹3,847 crore allocated for roads and bridges, along with ₹1,000 crore for better connectivity within Delhi-NCR, will help ease congestion and improve mobility. Additionally, ₹500 crore for Yamuna cleaning and upgrading Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) highlights a strong commitment to sustainability and cleaner urban living.
Delhi’s infrastructure has long been in need of an overhaul. The city’s rapid urbanization has exposed the limitations of outdated planning models, and recent floods underscored its vulnerability. The budget’s strategic investments, including modernizing key infrastructure such as water management, transportation, and power systems, are essential to address these gaps.
