Baskin Robbins India Celebrates Summer with New Gelato and Refreshing Flavors
Chandigarh, 11th April 2025: Baskin Robbins, India’s largest ice cream brand, has announced the launch of its all-new Gelato Range for the summer season. Through this launch, the brand aims to continue its journey to establish itself as a premium dessert destination in India, expanding its offerings and pushing the boundaries of indulgence by going beyond traditional ice cream ranges. With FY25 nearing its end, Baskin-Robbins projects over 20% top-line growth for the year and is eyeing a double-digit year-on-year expansion.
For the summer range, Baskin Robbins has introduced three new categories of Gelato offerings: Gelato Flavours, Gelato Sundaes, and Kids Range Special Gelato Sundaes. The new Gelato Range features rich, velvety textures and bold flavours, each crafted with premium ingredients to provide an authentic Italian experience. The Gelato flavours introduced include Chocolate & Roasted Hazelnut and Blueberry Cheesecake Gelato.
Complementing these are the indulgent Gelato Sundaes, layered with decadent toppings and textures to suit evolving consumer preferences. The Chocolate & Roasted Hazelnut, Berry Me in Cheesecake, and Mango & Cream Gelato Sundaes each feature their signature gelato base complemented by specific toppings – Nutella and caramelized hazelnuts, blueberry compote and cheesecake cubes, or mango compote and angel cake; all finished with chocolate-coated waffle garnishes. Recognizing the love of fairy tales for kids, the brand has introduced new entrants for the kids’ gelato sundae range that offers the cotton candy Wonderland Gelato Sundae with strawberry compote and colourful gems, as well as the salted caramel & brownie gelato sundae with gooey brownie fudge bits.
Mr. Mohit Khattar, CEO of Graviss Group (Baskin Robbins) said, “We’ve cultivated a deep understanding of evolving consumer preferences through consistent market analysis and direct customer feedback. This insight drives our innovation strategy, enabled us to launch this delightful selection of artisanal gelato flavors and sundaes that offer consumers an elevated dessert experience beyond traditional ice cream. Our ability to anticipate and respond to changing preferences positions us at the forefront of dessert innovation in the Indian market, and we remain committed to delivering premium, innovative experiences year-round to all age groups.”
Last year was a milestone year for Baskin Robbins, as the company opened 1000th store in India and the subcontinent. With 120 new stores opened in FY24-25 and continued focus on innovation and premiumization, the company projects strong double-digit growth for FY26. The brand has been expanding its footprint and is now present in over 290 cities across India with significant presence throughout the Indian market. While retail parlours remain the primary revenue driver, Baskin Robbins has consistently grown its packaged consumer goods (CPG) segment and institutional/B2B channel, including partnerships with hotels, restaurants, hospitals, and multiplexes.
