Jeff Houlahan is an ecologist and conservation biologist. The son of a Canadian Air Force member, he grew up in cities across Canada and at two air bases in Germany. He earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario and B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Ottawa. After a post-doctoral position at the University of New Mexico, he joined the University of New Brunswick, where he is now a professor. Alongside his academic career, Houlahan writes fiction, including short stories published in online journals.
