Honeywell’s New Hybrid Solution Drives Real-Time Electrification for Industrial Heat Manufactureres

New Delhi, Feb 5: Honeywell today announced its Hybrid Heating Solution, a flexible, automated system designed to help industrial manufacturers reduce operating costs and carbon emissions by combining traditional natural gas and electric energy sources for industrial process heating.

The solution automates heating controls, allowing manufacturers to switch energy sources in real time between natural gas and electricity. This optimizes energy costs, reduces reliance on a single fuel source, and integrates seamlessly with existing infrastructure. The Hybrid Heating Solution can deliver up to 30% electric heating capacity at any given time and offers predictive diagnostics and remote monitoring for enhanced operational visibility across industries such as automotive, building materials, and food & beverage.

“Hybrid solutions offer a practical way for energy-intensive industrial manufacturers to alleviate grid strain while advancing the global energy transition,”John Villali, Senior Research Director at IDC Energy Insights.

“As companies work to reduce emissions and dependence on fossil fuels, leveraging electrical power—including renewables—within supply chains can play a critical role in meeting decarbonization goals.”

“Manufacturers today face rising energy costs and increasing pressure to cut fossil fuel usage while maintaining productivity,” said Tim Lee, President of Honeywell Thermal Solutions. “By integrating traditional and electrical energy—including renewable sources—Honeywell provides a flexible and practical path for companies to reduce emissions in energy-intensive processes.”

In facilities equipped with onsite wind, solar, or battery energy storage, operators can potentially use these renewable resources to further lower the carbon footprint of heating operations, as permitted by law.

Honeywell’s Hybrid Heating Solution is now commercially available and in production across multiple manufacturing verticals following successful pilot projects. For more information, visit Honeywell.com.
