Seasoned business development professional Sumit Bawa joins PMR as director of logistics and supply chain to spearhead operations, expansion plans of the company
PMR (PM Relocations), one of the major premium relocation firms, welcomes seasoned business development professional as the Director of Supply Chain and Logistics. To enhance the expansion phase of PMR, Sumit has embarked on this leadership position to strategize and diversify into several other aspects of relocation services and scale up across the country.
Having been a value-addition to several start-ups and transport firms, Sumit brings 10+ years of experience to PMR. In THE past, he has spearheaded and led the entire e-ticketing project of Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) with a huge team of over 190 people across 38 depots covering 3750 DTC buses. He also bagged the Delhi Gurgaon Expressway ticket project from IDFC bank. His expertise ranges from a wide set of functions from strategic account management, business development and accelerating online startups in the logistics field. Before joining PMR, he was the Vice President at bus transport technology startup Chalo, which was launched across 4 cities of Kolkata, Jaipur, Nagpur and Kanpur. He made the startup partner with the state governments to ease the facilities.
To catalyse the humongous process of moving and relocation services in the Indian logistics scene, his current role at PMR entails developing overall supply chain strategy in line with business requirements. Procurement of all direct and indirect products and services and managing the transport P&L. He would also be closely involved in expanding the pet moving and fine art moving business wings of the firm.
PMR is gradually focusing on venturing into the hospitality sector by launching its own division under Sumit Bawa’s leadership in the coming years.

I see myself bolstering growth and innovation for the transport wing as well as the pet moving division at PMR. My core focus would revolve around managing inventory efficiently, improving the performance matrix of our suppliers, managing costs and finding partners with whom we can explore synergies for collective growth and establishing the hospitality wing.
