M3M Foundation distributes 2000 blankets to the underprivileged to help them beat the cold wave (2)

Gurugram: As the cold wave grips Gurugram, M3M Foundation has distributed 2000 blankets to the marginalized section of the society at various construction sites and labour camps in Gurugram. The objective of the initiative was to provide relief to the less privileged community from the biting cold and alleviate their hardships. Under the initiative ‘Kartavya’, the beneficiaries comprised the marginalized families of construction workers at Gurugram as well as the M3M’s domestic staff, labourers and their families.

iMpower is the joint initiative by M3M Foundation and Aide et Action. It aims to build a community-led Worksite Upliftment Programme in identified worksites of M3M in Gurgaon district through ensuring their entitlements to basic requirements such as education, health, skill development, women empowerment, financial and social security, legal aid and their access to State and Central welfare schemes.

Dr. Payal Kanodia, Trustee, M3M Foundation said, “The initiative is a part of our endeavour to aid the marginalized section of the society through continuous efforts. As a responsible organization, M3M Foundation stands committed to alleviating their miseries and make their lives brighter.”

12-year old Raja, One of the students of iMpower said, “I thank the M3M Foundation for their unwavering support amid the cold. These blankets will help us to tackle the cold for the entire winter season.”
