Observed from January 16-21, 2023, the theme for Road Safety Week this year as conceived by the Government of India in collaboration with various state governments is “Safe Yourself to Save Your Family”. Road traffic accidents are one of the leading causes of untimely death and injuries globally. “India is home to one of the largest road networks in the world and lack of road safety is a major developmental issue, which results in unfortunate accidents and deaths. In our commitment to helping the citizens of the city understand the importance of maintaining road safety, educate them about the rules that must be followed, and enlighten them about the various ways through which they can become more cognizant about their safety on the roads – while driving, walking or crossing the roads, we have arranged this walkathon. Through this continuous and focused initiative of ours, we aim to raise awareness amongst everyone around us and make our city better and safer, especially for women and children,” said Mr. Renjith Krishnan – CEO, of Kinder Hospitals, India.

The event saw active participation from the neighborhood residents, employees, and their families.
