Mumbaikars will now soon be able to experience a more secure and reliable last-mile delivery service as Pidge, one of India’s fast-growing tech-enabled on-demand delivery start-up, gears up for its entry in the city. The announcement follows Pidge’s one year of successful operations in the Delhi-NCR region.
Pidge, within a year of being operational counts 80+ businesses including Taj Hotels, Hyatt Hotels, The Big Chill Café, Pet Sutra, The Wishing Chair, Miam Patisserie, Pharma Rack, Pooch Mate India Shoppe, Meatigo.com as its customers and has completed 2 lakh deliveries.
The startup is also looking at a count of 1500 delivery staff under its payroll by the end of year 2020 to support its growing demand and ensure seamless experience during the festive season. The bootstrapped startup is currently operational across Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad and Ghaziabad and is the only on-demand, instant delivery and radius-free service available. Mumbaikars will be able to enjoy this radius free and secure service starting across Mumbai, Pune, Vashi, Navi Mumbai, Panvel and Thane.
Commenting on the company’s expansion plans and operations Ratnesh Verma, Founder & Leader, Pidge said, “At Pidge we are focused on providing our customers with a secure, hygienic and time-bound delivery service that is catered by a team of passionate people and offers the convenience of on-demand companies with the reliability of traditional logistics for an exceptional end-consumer experience.
The overwhelming response that we’ve seen in just a year of our operations, owing to safe and reliable delivery by dedicated and well-trained delivery staff, even during a pandemic, we are confident to speed up our expansion plans and chart new growth.
For Pidge, Mumbai was the obvious choice after the Delhi-NCR region, given the similar dynamics complexities. We are excited and optimistic that we’ll be able to delight businesses and consumers in Mumbai the same way as we did in Delhi and NCR region.”
He added, “We also remain committed to our passionate and trusted team of delivery executives. As we expand, we continue to look out for team members who resonate Pidge’s value. We will continue to hire people on the company payroll, continuing to give them an opportunity to grow and enjoy insurance benefits like white-collar professionals.”
“In Pidge, we have found partners who not only seek to provide top quality services but are also passionately committed to achieving it. The entire team is open to learning all the time, which is a great sign that the owners are seeking to build a long-lasting and rich legacy.
The true brand ambassadors of Pidge are their riders, and every little thing – from their personal turnout to the extremely polite customer dealing – makes the company shine through!” said Aseem Grover, Founder of Big Chill
Pidge has been popular among its customers for timely, safe and reliable delivery by a dedicated and trained delivery staff and one of its USP has been its tamper-proof packaging that enables customers and businesses to place as many items as the package can fit, with no maximum limit.
To double up the security, the package is packed and sealed by the customers themselves and Pidge follows it up with live tracking of the package in transit and a one-time password (OTP) process as soon the package is delivered.
Arman Sood, Co-Founder, Sleepy Owl Coffee commented, “It has been amazing working with Pidge. I’m really happy with the service as well as the efficiency with which the system works. The team has supported us to ensure that the deliveries to customers are as per our requirements and customisations.”
Pidge is expecting to reach around 25x deliveries in the upcoming festive season and intends to have 1500 delivery executives to its rider count in coming months.
